North Belfast United Youth Programme Description

North Belfast United Youth Programme is an exciting new programme for young people aged 16 – 24 years who are not currently in employment, education or training and living in North Belfast.

The programme is led by Ashton Community Trust and delivered in partnership with Cliftonville Community Regeneration Forum, Ardoyne Youth Providers Forum and Loughview Community Action Partnership with a Youth Outreach Mentor based with each organisation and working within their neighborhood renewal area.

The programme has a young person centred approach at its core and works to the needs of each individual young person. There is a focus on the personal and social development of young people through group work facilitation and one-to-one mentoring, with community relations and employability key themes also.

The programme is tailor made for each individual young person and will focus on the needs of that young person to create a personal development plan.

The programme will also give the young people that participate the opportunity to travel with residentials based regionally and the opportunity to travel internationally for a short period of time.
