About Northern Ireland Phoenix Organisation

Funded by the EU PEACE III Programme, the main aim of the organisation is to promote, advocate and address the needs of former security force personnel and their families who have suffered as a result of the conflict in Northern Ireland. The main theme of NIPP is Peace and Reconciliation therefore all the services and events are planned around this theme. Beginning with of the official Launch on the 8th September 2010 at Hillsborough Castle, a wide range of events and services have taken place. Cultural awareness and shared heritage exchange visits have taken place to venues such as Kilmainham Gaol and the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin, Dan Winter's Cottage, the Famine Village in Donegal, RUC GC Memorial Garden in Belfast, the Battle of Boyne Museum, South Armagh, Stormont, Somme Centre and the WW1 Battlefields in France and Belgium to name a few.
