OVERVIEW: NIPA is the primary plastics association in Northern Ireland, boasting a large membership of the full spectrum of plastics industry companies. The Membership is made up of manufacturers, research and development bodies, advisory & support services, further & higher education institutions and the wider industry supply chain. The NIPA Board is drawn from and annually elected by the associations own members. PRIMARY AIM: to support and encourage innovation, competitiveness, exports and R& D by its members. Thus enabling profitable growth among these members and driving grow across the broader Polymer Sector in Northern Ireland. MEMBERS MANUFACTURING AREAS: include extrusion (pipes /tubes, sheet and film), injection moulding, composite components and assemblies, thermo-forming, blow moulding, stretch blow moulding, and rotational moulding. MEMBERS INDUSTRY SECTORS: aerospace, transport, medical, packaging, consumer, building and construction, utilities, food & drink and many, many more. INTER-COMPANY NETWORKING AND WORKING GROUP AREAS: Composites, Energy, Manufacturing Processing, Innovation & Commercialisation Practices, closer working with the Creative Industries Sector, Lower Cost 3D Printing / VR / AR, Material & Processing Innovations, and customised "For Industry - By Industry" Training. LINKS: Established national and international links with universities, trade associations, knowledge bases, leading industry experts and many more. All set up to help promote, manage, support and importantly enhance the delivery of the member /industry strategy and plans. NIPA is a private sector company that is self-funding through its membership subscriptions and commercial activities
