Was out for the day yesterday in Castle Court doing a bit of shopping with my mum and with the absolutely melting weather a sandwich was just what we wanted. We had two of your triple tikka sandwiches made by Tierna (I only glanced at the name tag so thats probably wrong) and two lattes made my Stephen. We were served quickly (only 4-5 minutes in lunch hour rush) it tasted great and everyone was friendly. I've had mixed experience with the store over the years but this this was fabulous.

User

This review is aimed more at the friendly member of staff working today in Belfast City Airport. He made conversation with everyone and was happy polite and friendly to all. This may not seen extraordinary however I am here every Sunday and rarely are staff this nice. But it I the first I've met this gentleman . Name on the receipt was Philip but not sure if this is his name.

User

Such lovely staff and such great service! Very chatty and made you feel extremely welcome

User

I was stopping off in the town centre with the children while down by a city tour. We only had an hour but didn't want fast food, that being said, my children are particular about what they eat. The staff here made sandwiches and snacks exactly to my children's specifications without so much as batting an eyelid. My meal (off the regular menu) was delicious too. I would definitely recommend. as for a parent, knowing that you children can eat a decent meal goes a very long way to you being able to enjoy your own!

User

I was passing through Belfast City airport on Sunday and had some lunch around 1pm.

When sitting down a lovely lady (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) but I think it was Margaret went above and beyond for everyone including myself, she was so friendly, something as small as bringing people napkins if she noticed they didn't have any. Her customer service skills where just fab and even though my flight was delayed she brightened up my day. ☺️

User

I was in the Abbey Centre a couple of times recently and stopped for lunch and today a cuppa and scone. The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming and always offer to help with my tray as I have a baby in a pram. Keep up the great customer service and the food is fab too

User

I have used O Briens a number of times. Amazing people work there. It’s nice to see people who enjoy what they do! Seldom do you see this. Nothing is a bother to them. 10/10.

User

I absolutely LOVE O'Brien's! In Victoria Square. They do the BEST chai latte, and at £2.80 for large one, you just cant beat it. They have an array of cakes, buns, soups, sandwiches. Ingredients are fresh and cooked in front of you and the presentation of the food is brilliant. Along with the chai latte, my favourite is the mint cheesecake...yum! All the staff are lovely, chatty and friendly. I'd recommend O'Brien's to anyone that wants a relaxed place to eat, with high quality food, served by nice people, at a reasonable price. Always very happy 😊 with the service here.

User

Dear O'Briens team, the sandwich was good - I mean really good... But the service! Absolutely great! The lady who helped me (on my receipt, it says "Monica") to make the right choice, was not just bubbly but super friendly and patience as well! Hats off!

User

Just wanted to say how absolutely lovely the staff at O Briens café at George Best airport are. Bright happy disposition and going out of their way to offer people iced water, even me as I bide my time reading at my table with my £1 espresso.

User

It's all changed at Victoria Square - new menu, with old favourites like the Big Eat Shambo no longer available, and you have to ask if you want proper cutlery as only the plastic stuff is left out. And they used to give you a receipt, which was really handy as it had the wifi code. You seem to get two slices of cake now, too, which is a bit too much. Unfortunately the changes haven't addressed the time spent queueing at lunchtime. Great food, but I preferred things the way they were!

User

I am a regular customer in the Antrim Junction One and Castle Court Belfast restaurants. Yesterday I tried out the Abbey Centre Newtownabbey restaurant and ordered my favourite slightly spiced chicken sandwich. I watched the girl make it with an unusual looking dressing which was a different colour from what it normally looks like. I asked her what it was and she informed me that it was a herb and mayo dressing as they didn't do spicy dressing as no-one ever asked for it. I have two observations: 1) there was an empty carton with pink residue in the chiller which looked suspiciously like a spiced mayo mix; 2) she wasn't even going to bother to tell me that I was not going to get what I had ordered or offer me another choice. As there was a long queue, I took the sandwich and it was nice enough but it wasn't what I actually wanted. I was disappointed in the order I received and in the nonchalant attitude of the server. This is so different from the usually pleasant and friendly service in Junction One and Castle Court.

I subsequently tried to give feedback by using the survey monkey website shown on the receipt but I was unable to access it as it wanted a 5 digit zip code. I then tried to leave feedback via their web site but it wouldn't send the message.

User

Just been to the junction Antrim store got potato and leek soup served with the most disappointing piece of wheaten bread the bottom of it was so thin! As I work in a cafe myself I know the standard that should be set we would not have served that at all! very disappointed

User

Went to go to your store in the quays, newry, today and had to leave. All of the salad was off and brown, coleslaw even was brown all around it and a layer had formed over it. Clearly not freshly out. The guy behind the counter when we pointed it out, really didnt care either, all he said was 'i havent been here all morning' and when we said to leave it that we would go somewhere else 'thats no problem'

User

Very bad experience in castle court this morning first of all the onions and spring onions and red onion were completely dried up on display they should have been thrown out!!! Got a sandwich and it tasted of cheese and there was no cheese in it at all it was juts coleslaw with chicken ,it was off!!! Brough it up to tell the girl and she was so rude so asked for the supervisor and it was her I cannot believe how she dealt with the situation I am appaled I will never go back ever they continued servering it all day, disgusting!!

User

Out in foyleside shopping centre in Co Derry/L’Derry getting a bit lunch for me and my mum a couple of weeks ago. 2 sandwiches and 2 cups of tea. I also asked for an extra tea bag for my elderly mothers cup of tea because she likes a good strong cup of tea. When I received my receipt (which i thought was a little over priced)I had been charged £1.90 for an extra teabag. I have been to many eating establishments and this is the first time I have ever been charged for an extra teabag. O’Briens shame on you.

User

I was at the abbey centre store a few weeks ago with my daughter to have lunch was absolutely disgusted to find a SLUG in my sandwich staff at the store were very apologetic and straight away refunded what i had paid and gave me a loyalty card with 2 free coffees and 2 free sandwiches the follow up from head office has been an absolute disgrace as was offered a loyalty card with compensation for a few free coffees and as off yet still waiting to receive it 3 weeks later never would be back to any of their stores

User

I hate it when I come in everyday and they don't have decaffeinated coffee and never have skimmed milk. Staffa always telling US they don't have coffee very disappointed

User

Had a chicken chiabatta today absolutly no taste of it at all, my husband had a tuna wrap the tuna was so dry. We had 2 tea we paid £15.00 for privaledge i done mind paying dear for food but i like the food to be tasty and value for money. It was none of the above. I will never be back.
