Neil’s been a good friend of mine since we were young enough to be in youth club together many years ago, and over the years i’ve come to learn that if Neil’s working somewhere you can be guaranteed great food and service



it’s very deceptive from outside... and once inside and upstairs the decor is gorgeous - much bigger than it looks too



three of us had 2 courses each from the carvery (a main and dessert) and a drink each for £50



food was absolutely spot on - plenty of choices: beef / lamb / turkey / ham / yorkshire puds / mash / roasties / cabbage with bacon / carrot n parsnip / stuffing / gravy / pepper sauce and i’m sure I’ve missed out something!

The carvery was delicious, big portions and the kids were delighted to be treated to ice creams after. Service and food was great so highly recommend it. We have recently started to come to o'connors restaurant on a Sunday for their carvery, it is excellent, food is of a very high standard and large portion, Gary, katrina and all the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, really make you feel welcome, on top we took our little daughter to see santa today, was brilliant so relaxed. Always have a great experience here.

We chose O'Connors for our baby's christening yesterday and the whole day was perfect from start to finish. The manager Gary was so helpful from the first point of contact to the end. Angie was excellent as always and the young men behind the bar deserve a mention, they were perfect gentlemen and couldnt have been more attentive to my family. The buffet was delicious, every plate was cleared so compliments to the chef and kitchen staff.

Was in today for a meal with my family! Food was outstanding as usual! Service was exceptional especially Katrina Falloon!! ÔøΩ fella behind the carvery was great catering to our needs!! Will definitely be back and would recommend to everyone

Have been callin into this bar just over a year now for the nicest pint of heverlee I've ever had poured and staff are always friendly to me and have been from the first night I walked in . I Brought my wee family up for a meal today for the first time and I couldn't believe I left it this long to eat in this place . The first time I can say that I was nearly defeated by a burger ÔøΩ by their O'Connors house 8oz steak burger with bacon ,cheese ,mushroom and onions ,doubled up with a beautiful chicken fillet burger with all the trimmings for just a few bob extra . My partner and wee son enjoyed their meal also and my partner can't wait to get back up to try out some more of the menu although I think I'll be sticking with the burger . Top place, top staff and defo worth the wee drive up from Belfast especially on a nice day . Thankyou for the meal and great service we will surely be dining here again in the future

Had a family meal yesterday for my daughter's Confirmation celebrations. The food was absolutely top class. Everyone cleared their plates. What has happened to this place . Food was cold and quite simply disgusting .my son wouldn't even eat his sausages . Such cheap produce . Also staff extremely unhelpful . I asked could a tv screen be turned over for the Ireland rugby game . I was told that this wasn't possible as others were watching the football . Went here last night for a bite to eat with my partner. We waited at least 5-10minutes to be seated - no staff to be seen. I had to then go look for someone and ask can I have a table!! I ordered the Irish chicken Supreme which come with green beans and a bacon sauce. It came out as a rubbery piece of chicken on a slop off mash potato, covered in gravy and no green beans!! My partner ordered the tear & share bread platter for an appetiser which is supposed to come served with FRESH bread. There was nothing fresh about it, it was burnt to a crisp and it was 2 slices of French roll & 2 slices of wheaten bread that you buy in a packet from Russell's next door!! The dips & oils tasted like they were left in a jar and put to the back of the cupboard for 10 years!! � He also ordered the nachos with cheese jalapeño peppers & sour cream and paid extra for the chilli beef. Well... he got nachos with a splash of cheese, no jalapeños, no sour cream and the nachos where covered in some sort of battered beef with soggy vegetables. To my knowledge, is nachos not supposed to be served with mince beef?? The food was that bad I even have to complain about a salad!! Yes... a salad! We asked for a side salad of lettuce and some vinegarette. We received a salad with no lettuce, covered in cheese and coleslaw. It was just an absolute disaster and the best about it was that there was just 1 other table eating. Never ever again. Absolutely disgusted as we have been plenty off times for a Sunday carvery which is beautiful but last nights meal was just horrendous! I have worked with food for 10years+ and I would be horrified to serve that to paying costumers. Thanks to the waitress who took off the bread platter on our bill. I was more embarrassed than anything her having to lift full plates off food to bring back into the kitchen�

Angie was excellent as always and the young men behind the bar deserve a mention, they were perfect gentlemen and couldnt have been more attentive to my family. The buffet was delicious, every plate was cleared so compliments to the chef and kitchen staff.

Have been callin into this bar just over a year now for the nicest pint of heverlee I've ever had poured and staff are always friendly to me and have been from the first night I walked in . I Brought my wee family up for a meal today for the first time and I couldn't believe I left it this long to eat in this place . The first time I can say that I was nearly defeated by a burger ÔøΩ by their O'Connors house 8oz steak burger with bacon ,cheese ,mushroom and onions ,doubled up with a beautiful chicken fillet burger with all the trimmings for just a few bob extra . My partner and wee son enjoyed their meal also and my partner can't wait to get back up to try out some more of the menu although I think I'll be sticking with the burger . Top place, top staff and defo worth the wee drive up from Belfast especially on a nice day . Thankyou for the meal and great service we will surely be dining here again in the future

Had a party for my boyfriend at the weekend at O'connors. The staff were great leading up to it with anything I needed, everyone said the food was gorgeous on the night. Great night had by all.... Although special hats off to Craig who was with us all night. Nothing was too much for him, done everything he could for us and was great Craic! So thank you!

Had a family meal yesterday for my daughter's Confirmation celebrations. The food was absolutely top class. Everyone cleared their plates. I got pan fried chicken in a bacon/mushroom sauce and it's the nicest meal I have had in a long time. The staff were brill and couldn't do enough for us. What has happened to this place . Food was cold and quite simply disgusting .my son wouldn't even eat his sausages . Such cheap produce . Also staff extremely unhelpful . I asked could a tv screen be turned over for the Ireland rugby game . I was told that this wasn't possible as others were watching the football . Moments later the tv froze and remained that way until we left . Actually it may still be frozen . Staff were useless . This place is going the same way as mcgeowns of glenavy did . Went here last night for a bite to eat with my partner. We waited at least 5-10minutes to be seated - no staff to be seen. I had to then go look for someone and ask can I have a table!! I ordered the Irish chicken Supreme which come with green beans and a bacon sauce. It came out as a rubbery piece of chicken on a slop off mash potato, covered in gravy and no green beans!! My partner ordered the tear & share bread platter for an appetiser which is supposed to come served with FRESH bread. There was nothing fresh about it, it was burnt to a crisp and it was 2 slices of French roll & 2 slices of wheaten bread that you buy in a packet from Russell's next door!! The dips & oils tasted like they were left in a jar and put to the back of the cupboard for 10 years!! � He also ordered the nachos with cheese jalapeño peppers & sour cream and paid extra for the chilli beef. Well... he got nachos with a splash of cheese, no jalapeños, no sour cream and the nachos where covered in some sort of battered beef with soggy vegetables. To my knowledge, is nachos not supposed to be served with mince beef?? The food was that bad I even have to complain about a salad!! Yes... a salad! We asked for a side salad of lettuce and some vinegarette. We received a salad with no lettuce, covered in cheese and coleslaw. It was just an absolute disaster and the best about it was that there was just 1 other table eating. Never ever again. Absolutely disgusted as we have been plenty off times for a Sunday carvery which is beautiful but last nights meal was just horrendous! I have worked with food for 10years+ and I would be horrified to serve that to paying costumers. Thanks to the waitress who took off the bread platter on our bill. I was more embarrassed than anything her having to lift full plates off food to bring back into the kitchen�

Neil’s been a good friend of mine since we were young enough to be in youth club together many years ago, and over the years i’ve come to learn that if Neil’s working somewhere you can be guaranteed great food and service



it’s very deceptive from outside... and once inside and upstairs the decor is gorgeous - much bigger than it looks too



three of us had 2 courses each from the carvery (a main and dessert) and a drink each for £50



food was absolutely spot on - plenty of choices: beef / lamb / turkey / ham / yorkshire puds / mash / roasties / cabbage with bacon / carrot n parsnip / stuffing / gravy / pepper sauce and i’m sure I’ve missed out something!

Went for dinner last night. Food was beautiful and service was even better. Craig made us feel right at home.... Took our drinks order straight away and also made sure are glasses were never empty. He also talked us into having a dessert which was beautiful. 5stars all round. ÔøΩ

We were delighted to win the Sunday Carvery competition and really enjoyed ourselves today. Gary and the staff were fab and we were greeted and brought to our table like VIP's. The carvery was delicious, big portions and the kids were delighted to be treated to ice creams after. Service and food was great so highly recommend it. Thanks to all at O'Connor for our prize today, we really enjoyed it and we'll be back!

We have recently started to come to o'connors restaurant on a Sunday for their carvery, it is excellent, food is of a very high standard and large portion, Gary, katrina and all the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, really make you feel welcome, on top we took our little daughter to see santa today, was brilliant so relaxed. Always have a great experience here.
