Storm Ciara didn't stop us. Different venue, same team. What an amazing group of #volunteers Thankyou to everyone who came out today to Edendork. πππ§
A busy weekend for our members. Today, our first crew headed off to Portavogie for point to point. Second crew covered Omagh CBS 5/10 k. Tomorrow if Ciara allows π§ we will be in Healy Park. β½οΈ
We had a fantastic morning with all the boys and girls from Dromore Community playgroup. We covered bandaging, slings, how to make an emergency call, CPR and Goretti brought up the ambulance for everyone to get in and see the equipment. All teddies and children were really well behaved and looked after ππ Some budding medics in the making!
What a fab evening spent in Healy Park, Omagh. We had grounds familiarity, tower and media room tour and then finished with medical scenarios for our teams to deal with. Thankyou to Michael McCarney for facilitating this evening. Thankyou also to Caine and Joann for co-ordinating scenarios for members.
On a weekend off we had members from Omagh, and also our colleagues from Downpatrick unit, updating skills with Rally Rescue and Recovery at Kirkistown Race Track.
New uniform changes for 2020. These will be available to order later in the year. The last 3 photos are cadets.
Cadets = learning =fun! Tonight after completing the practical for their first aid exam, our cadets held a sling challenge. Speed was only one element, it still had to be put on correctly. They then challenged their leaders.
Some well spent time refreshing skills at unit training lastnight ππ All hands on deck.
A busy week for our #volunteers. On wednesday evening we had a patient transfer, yesterday we had 2 members at point to point Tyrella and today we were out in full force at Healy Park. #teamwork
Over the past few weeks members have been training consistently and updating skills. Two groups have now completed their PHECC FAR exam over 2 Saturdays. Thanks to Eilish Faulkner, Downpatrick Unit and Unit Training Officer Caine Mcgoldrick. #savinglives #touchinglives #changinglives
