Parkview Men's hockey club are seeking a coach for the senior team for the upcoming 2019/20 season. It is anticipated that this role would commence early August and run until the end of April. This will be a paid position.
Parkview Men currently have one team competing in the Intermediate league and are a mix of experienced players, players new to hockey and some young players. The club are optimistic about fielding a 2nd XI within the next two seasons. They finished 7th out... of 9 in the 2018/19 season. Some current players volunteer alongside members of Parkview ladies Hockey Club to facilitate junior hockey. This role would be ideal for an experienced coach seeking a new challenge or a newly qualified coach looking to gain experience at senior level.
It is expected that the individual appointed would take training sessions on a Wednesday night in Ballyclare and it would be preferable if the individual could also travel with the team to matches on a Saturday although expressions of interest for training alone will still be considered.
All expressions of interest should be made to the committee by email to parkviewhc@gmail.com. Please include any experience and a brief statement about why you are interested in the role.

Parkview Hockey Club 2018/19 Top Goalscorer. 🏆 @johnyoung8505 John returned to Parkview this season from Antrim and had a successful yield of 16 goals causing havoc to defences. Deadly off either side, we will miss his goals next season as he has sadly made the decision to retire from hockey. 🤔 Congratulations John 👏

Parkview Hockey Club Players' Player of the Year 2018/19. @clarky030 He's starting to have a personal relationship with this trophy now after retaining it from last season. Andy's determination, hard tackling and all round leadership earned him the majority vote in what was a closely contested award. Few will disagree that this was thoroughly deserved. I think he is looking forward to a few months off to let his body recover from all of the big hits!

Parkview Hockey Club 2018/19 Player of the Season. This was a very difficult award to choose this season but as any captain will know, any successful team needs to be built on a good defence. It's comforting to know that Parkview are in good hands (chest, feet, legs, head - or any other part of the body this man can get in the way)! We had some difficult scorelines this season on our first season back in the Ulster Intermediate League but Willie's heroics and reflexes prevented too many goals to count and also helped us hang on to some much needed points. We really would be lost without our Player of the Season, William Proctor. Congratulations Willie👏

Parkview Hockey Club Outstanding Commitment Award. This is a new award introduced this season and aims to recognise individuals who give all aspects of being a member their absolite all whether it be training, match play, social events or supporting the team.
It is therefore fitting that the first recipient of the award was @robert.campbell.7359 who returned to the sport after an almost 30 year absence. We've enjoyed every minute since he came to training for the first time and look forward to welcoming his enthusiasm to pre season training in early July. Congratulations Robert 👏

Parkview Hockey Young Player of the Year 2018/19 @andy.19graham. Now in his second full season in Senior Hockey, Andrew picked up this award for the second year running. His tenacity in midfield and powerful running with the ball offered the team a constant threat in attack. He even managed to register his first goals this season. Andrew represents the future of our very old club and we should all expect bigger things from him in the future. Congratulations Andrew 👏

Parkview Hockey Club Most Improved Player of the Year 2018/19 @markrosbotham. Now a well established member of the squad, Mark's consistency week in week out at left back in a new league for us shows how far he has come since joining the club as a young boy. Congratulations Mark. 👏
