Well, what can I say! I'd Been to 5 shops & tried on over 60 dresses until I found the little hidden gem of peony bridal!

Took my mum & one of my sisters with me, such a warm welcome we all got from Elsebeth & her lovely mum

I had a very rough idea of the dress I wanted and no joke-every dress I tried on in this shop I absolutely loved! But when I found the one, I just knew!! I think I'm the fussiest person on the planet & im so so grateful for peony bridal providing me with my dream dress! I was so lucky I got to wear it twice & if I had my way I'd wear it everyday! The owner, whose name I keep forgetting just simply because its unusual, takes great pride in her business and it really does show! Myself and my bridesmaids were made to feel so welcome and special. She stocks a range of beautiful, high quality dresses that you do not see anywhere else. The sample dresses are in pristine condition because great care is taken with them. Flawless customer service! Our visit to Peony Bridal last week was a lovely experience. We were made to feel very specual from the moment arrived. The shop itself is beautiful - well designed and beautifully furnished to create a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The comfy easy chairs and refreshments provided made for easy chatting to exchange ideas. Elsebeth and Gillian were extremely friendly, very helpful and skilful both in helping to select dresses to try on and in fitting them. There was a good variety of dresses to try. There was lots of chat and ideas exchanged. The dressing room had lots of mirrors allowing guests to see the dress from every angle. A very successful visit for us and a happy experience to remember.

Is 5 stars even enough?? I absolutely LOVED every minute of my bridal appointment in Peony!! The whole experience was just perfect, from start to finish!! Such lovely people with great advice!! The whole set up was just class, a mile apart from any bridal shops I had previously visited!! Delighted to say I found my 'Perfect' dress here!! Can't wait to get showing it off on my wedding day! I will most definately be recommending Peony Bridal to any Bride's to be!! Thanks soo much ladies!! Xx

We had a lovely morning and didn't feel rushed or under pressure at any point and had some good laughs too! I simply cannot put into words how much I ADORED my experience in dealing with Elsebeth and her wonderful Mum. From the very moment I made my 1st phone call to book my bridal appointment until the day I left with my wedding dress the few days before I got married. Elsebeth is incredible at what she does, she has such an eye and attention for detail. She made me feel at ease trying on the dresses that I chose to try on and when I had whittled it down to two, she didn't push or influence my decision, she let me wander around the salon (for what seemed like hours!) for me to get the full feel of the dress.

Not only did I find my amazing dress here, but also my bridesmaid's gorgeous Ghost dress and both of our headpieces. Every visit that my Mum, Sister and I made to the salon, both Elsebeth and her Mum gave us endless pieces of advice (over cups of coffee and tea) and made it feel like we were visiting old friends. I could gush and gush for days about these two wonderful ladies! Please check them out if you are starting to look for your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, flowergirl dresses, shoes, headpieces, you name it, they have it!! xx

I discovered Peony Bridal on a detour through Hillsborough; I was sooo meant to find this idyllic place and am very glad I did. As an older bride, I had ideas of what style dress I definitely didn't want, which seemed to be common place in the other bridal shops I had visited, along with most attendants not really attending :( I personally found Peony Bridal to be not just a boutique but a beautiful, stress free experience. I was made to feel so welcome and relaxed and special from the minute Elsebeth opened the door to me. This place has the most wonderful, calming ambience; from the refreshments on arrival to the little thank yous and wedding photos from very happy customers, from the tears and hugs during the visits to the genuine see you again soon on departure, and of course not forgetting to mention the stunning range of brides and bridesmaid dresses to choose from within a broad budget. There really is something for every bride here. Elsebeth really listened to me and understood my goals and genuinely offered assistance and expertise without being pushy or sales focused. On my first visit, I paid a deposit on my chosen wedding dress and made an appointment for a few weeks later to take my daughter (who would be over from England) with me for her approval. On this second visit, again we had happy tears and my daughter also chose her maid of honour dress :) My daughter was just as impressed with Peony Bridal as I was, if not more so. I got married last month, and found my dream dress in this amazing shop.

After visiting 10 bridal shops, with no joy of a dress, I found this little hidden gem in Hillsborough.

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew this shop was in a league of its own.

From the personalised reception to the afternoon treats, Elsabeth and her mum made it an experience that will never be forgotten.



The selection of dresses is incredible and the quality of materials used is outstanding.

I discovered Peony Bridal on a detour through Hillsborough; I was sooo meant to find this idyllic place and am very glad I did. As an older bride, I had ideas of what style dress I definitely didn't want, which seemed to be common place in the other bridal shops I had visited, along with most attendants not really attending :( I personally found Peony Bridal to be not just a boutique but a beautiful, stress free experience. I was made to feel so welcome and relaxed and special from the minute Elsebeth opened the door to me. This place has the most wonderful, calming ambience; from the refreshments on arrival to the little thank yous and wedding photos from very happy customers, from the tears and hugs during the visits to the genuine see you again soon on departure, and of course not forgetting to mention the stunning range of brides and bridesmaid dresses to choose from within a broad budget. There really is something for every bride here. Elsebeth really listened to me and understood my goals and genuinely offered assistance and expertise without being pushy or sales focused. On my first visit, I paid a deposit on my chosen wedding dress and made an appointment for a few weeks later to take my daughter (who would be over from England) with me for her approval. On this second visit, again we had happy tears and my daughter also chose her maid of honour dress :) My daughter was just as impressed with Peony Bridal as I was, if not more so. Without hesitation, I would totally recommend any bride to be to visit this amazing place :) and be prepared to be made feel so special. Thank you Elsebeth :> x

Couldn't recommend this shop highly enough. One of the best bridal appointments I had, they made me and my bridesmaids feel so welcome and really listened to what I was looking for in my dress. Appointment wasn't at all rushed and quality and selection of dresses was excellent. A must visit for anyone wanting to say "Yes" to the dress :D xx

Could not recommend peony bridal enough!

I got married last month, and found my dream dress in this amazing shop.

After visiting 10 bridal shops, with no joy of a dress, I found this little hidden gem in Hillsborough.

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew this shop was in a league of its own.

From the personalised reception to the afternoon treats, Elsabeth and her mum made it an experience that will never be forgotten.



The selection of dresses is incredible and the quality of materials used is outstanding.
