Feeling “happy-sad” at the news that our fabulously family run local supermarket Nisa (formally The Mace & forever “Maguires”) has been sold to the big guys. Genuinely Happy for the Maguire family who have forever run a terrific business which has always been fully stocked, spotless, focussed, professional and super friendly - Sad that our little village is losing a model business, a truly personal shopping experience, a place of long term, secure employment and just a great asset to the local shopping offer. Decisions like these are certainly not made easily so please join us in applauding the Maguires, their fab staff and years of great local shopping. 👏👏👏👏👏

Look who popped in to see us today. Wee Rachel, her fabulous hubby Phil & their gorgeous baby Lucy. Of course I pulled ranked and jumped the queue for a cuddle....& when I finished with Phil I got to hug the baby. We just knew she’d be perfect. Congratulations McGowan family.

So we just had a surprise delivery from Ryan’s Cookie Box, delish! ...(if you don’t follow him on fb then do yourself a favour & look him up - RCB posts brighten even the dullest days, beautifully written & photographed & all for charity & for so much more) ......All we have to do now is convince him to do a Cookie Box Charity pop up at Picnic one day...all those in favour say “Ryan Rocks” ..... now, back to my brownies...nom nom nom.

What a fantastic find - 7 of us plus our dog have just had the most delicious lunch in Picnic. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The menu is wide and varied with lots of local produce. Every one of us loved our food and we will definitely be back

User

We have just left this great Deli, staff very friendly .We where able to bring our four dogs into to the picnic tent and water was brought for them. Will definitely be back.

This isn't a deli, It isn't a cafe, not isn't a coffee shop. It's another room in your house where the craic is always great, the grub is always too scrummy, there are too many nice things to choose from, the delicious stuff to buy is always top quality, and the staff are part of your family. The only improvement I can think of is to add several more days to each week to increase the opportunities to go there!...oh - and for some of the male customers to wear proper shorts instead of lycra - some folk are trying to enjoy their food!

User

The staff are lovely! We called in with our dogs and sat outside but one staff member inparticular made sure the dogs had water and even gave them some cooked chicken! Very kind! Oh, and the food was excellent!!!

User

Lovely wee spot. Extensive menu, great food, welcoming staff, fantastic location. How they cater to such a high standard in such a limited space is incredible.Promoting local produce is always a plus. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

User

Love, love, love Picnic Deli! Recommend it to everyone. Usually come here for coffee & a sweet treat &/or lunch, the choice of which is fantastic! Always gluten free choices on offer and any of the ciabatta/panini fillings can be made with gluten free wrap or rolls...just ask, the staff are brilliant & very helpful. My favourite has to be a GF wrap with harissa, goats's cheese and rocket/salad...delicious. Went in this morning for a coffee but was tempted into having an absolutely gorgeous bowl of porridge with cream and a rhubarb & blueberry compote. Decadent but seriously delicious

User

Love Picnic, been going for years for coffee, friands and lunch, hadn't been for a while and got the opportunity to nip in today for the most delicious poached egg on warm ham and wheaten bread, never disappointed in here ♡♡

User

Just back from here. Beautiful lunch friendly and great service. Had not been in a few years and still quality excellent.

User

I've been in quite a few times, has to be amongst the best coffee in Ireland, as for the range of cakes, buns and savoury treats...always incredible!

Super friendly staff and a great ambience, one of my favourite coffee stops, ever!

User

I was there this afternoon with my mum and two children (3 & 21 months) the staff were amazing and so considerate of the kids - happily split a smoothie without being asked, brought a second plate to split their lunch. My lunch was so so tasty! I hadn't been in years and definitely won't leave it so long again!!

User

Had brunch in this friendly and quirky little deli. Excellent menu, great service and delicious food.

User

Fresh tasting food with a lovely tented area on the side . A couple of tables out front gives a wonderful view of the castle. Staff are fantastic and friendly.

User

Excellent little gem in Killyleagh. I've been in lots of times for either a quick coffee or lunch.

Always found the staff lovely and of course the food is great.

User

Discovered this little gem last week...back again this week. The food is freshly made with fine ingredients and imagination. The staff are welcoming and friendly. A pure delight to go to....a new local even though my friend and I live in Newcastle and Castlewellan

User

Can't recommend this place enough!! Food is amazing and staff our so friendly, absolutely love the raspberry and white chocolate friands.

User

Ate here this morning... great menu and great food... not your typical fried rubbish! Great staff too!! I’ll be back.

User

Absolutely amazing brunch today, I couldn’t recommend this place enough !

User

A very special little but idyllic delicatessen serving the most incredible variety of fantastic food a real "must go" time and time again place. In our case most Sundays for brunch

User

Nice friendly cafe with tasty scones but rather expensive at £4-75 for tea and scone compared to Little Eddies and Harrisons at £3-50.
