Pips Upper Bann Description
PIPS Upper Bann was formed in 2007 by a group of people who had all been
affected by Suicide, it is based in Flat 17, Mount Zion House, Edward Street, Lurgan. We aim to support those affected in anyway by Suicide and Self harm and to improve on the Mental Health and Emotional Well Being within our community. Our three fold strategy encompasses areas of Prevention, Intervention and Postvention

This year PIPS Upper bann are holding a Christmas Carol Service of Hope and Remembrance with a Candle Light procession, instead of the Memory Tree. It is in St Anthonys Church, Craigavon on Sunday 16th December at 7pm. Everyone is welcome and hope to see you there. Please Share x

Huge thank you to everyone who braved the cold weather this morning and took part in PIPS 'Run for Friends' at Craigavon Lakes! Was a great turn out and all the money raised will go a long way in helping people in need in our community.

Bereavement Support Group - This is a peer support group for anyone bereaved through Suicide and will meet the last Tuesday of each month Start Date: Tuesday 25th September 2012 Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Venue: (Various) Jethro Centre, Lurgan - first 6 months
Bereavement Support Programme - This is a structured 8 week programme facilitated by Counselling and Consultancy Service for anyone bereaved through Suicide. (Max 10 people) Start Date: Thursday 27th September 2012 Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm Venue: Counselling and Consultancy Service, High Street, Lurgan. World Suicide Prevention Day - Today we remember all of our loved ones who have died through suicide! It is a day to create awareness and reduce the stigma associated with Suicide and Mental Health problems. 1 in 3 of us will suffer from a Mental Health problem at some point in our life and this is not a sign of weakness or something to be ashamed of, it is an illness like any other, so please do not suffer in silence!
