Excatly what you'd expect from an award winning shop, the cod and chips was amazing, fresh, tasty, crispy batter, portions are good and price isnt bad either

Good chips, the Fanta lemon was refreshing and the small chunks of nicely seasoned battered were fab. Unfortunately the little chunks of batter were supposedly meant to be battered scampi (whole tail (according to sign)). What we received was a few overcooked battered shrimp and some lovely chunks of batter. Regrettably it still cost me close to £8 for this unfortunate meal. Hunger and lack of time was the reasoning I never returned them or else I would have. Pity, I have heard such great reviews of this cafe and the staff are very friendly.

Excellent service, fast and efficient. I mostly order the same thing when I'm in here, curry chip with chicken and a portion of battered sausages, usually takes about 5mins and I'm out through the door again and still hot when I get home.

Visited yesterday evening for a sit down meal with my 2 children. I ordered a kids meal and when asked what drink i said water please. The girl said we dont do water its either fruit shoot etc ; i then said ill pay the extra then for the water. The assistant turned to another assistant for advice on this !!! She in return said " cant do that its a set price" I really couldnt believe it!!! I then said "fine, ill buy a bottle of water " that was ok took a seat and waited a good length of time on food. I had ordered a pastie burger and i asked for brown sauce as there was only red sauce on the table. The same girl who said about the water said "that will be 80p for a wee tub!!!!" I replied "i will do without thanks" funny thing is we were there a cpl of weeks ago and when i asked for brown sauce it wasnt a problem and a bottle of brown sauce was brought to the table. Not be rushing back for that type of attitude.

Quality fish and chips, great burgers too. Cooked fresh and ready to go with a great loyalty reward program.
