It comes with sadden hearts that we are announcing that we will be closing our doors for the final time on Sunday 16th September. We can not thank all of our wonderful staff and customers enough for everything over the years. We have loved being a part of your lives, and we appreciate all of your support. What an amazing meal. We came here tonight for my partners 50th and I'm sooooooooo glad we did. Service was fantastic and really friendly. Starters were gorgeous and the steaks were the best we've ever eaten. I had the rib eye and my partner had the porter house, like eating butter....just fantastic. We had sticky toffee pudding and an Irish coffee to finish off. The scrummy smell of the sticky toffee pudding coming to the table was mouth watering! Even the table next to us who hadn't even had their main course decided that's what they were having for pudding! Thanks so much for a great evening. We will definitely be back again :-)
Very welcoming and friendly staff!! Chatted away and made us feel very at ease!! I got the T Bone and it was cooked to perfection, as was my partners Fillet!! Portion sizes were great and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely waitress serving us!! Will definitely be back and would 100% recommend!!
Took this mrs last night had the 22oz porterhouse steak the mrs had the rump steak both chargrilled to perfection had it with chunky homemade chips and peppered sauce was amazing so was the waitress who served us was so welcoming made it a cracking meal nice conversation
There was a group of 12 of us seated last Saturday night (20.5.17) downstairs. The waitress was very attentive and provided good service. I ordered the flagship steak which was huge. I like my steak rare and this is what was provided. The steak sauce they provide is gorgeous although I also ordered the blue cheese sauce. Between 12 of us the bill came to under ┬Ż400 which was very reasonable. Enjoyed the night and will be back
Just after a delicious meal with my boyfriend and will definitely be back! The steak was cooked to perfection and cocktails were the best also colleen was lovely! will defo be back this week ’┐Į
I had made a reservation for two people who needed wheel chair access. They rang to check beforehand that they had all the relevant information. When we arrived ramp was already up. The staff Colleen & Michael were unbelievable. They went above and beyond nothing was to much trouble. I will definitely be back. It is the level of attention paid to the small details that makes this restaurant leagues above the rest.
I arranged a 50th dinner for 12 people all by messenger from Scotland. I have to say that everything was brilliant. Joanna was first class, she was able to deal with our table as well as everyone else.
Food was outstanding. My fillet was cooked to perfection. You have to go...when I am next in Belfast we will be back xx

First time here on Saturday night and it was brilliant. The food is absolutely beautiful, I had the risotto and have never tasted one like it, my two friends had steak which I also tasted and they were beautiful and cooked perfectly. The staff are so lovely and attentive. The owner, Trish is so welcoming and helpful. Absolute gem of a place, canŌĆÖt wait to return!
First time at the porterhouse and have to say the restaurant was lovely very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very polite and friendly we had the steak combo and the food was amazing steak was cooked to perfection and the ribs were great will definitely be back again

Booked a last minute table as we had got out of the Opera house and everywhere was booked and they kept a table for the 4 of us ready as soon as we would be able to get there. Food was lovely all steaks were cooked exactly the way we wanted (which was 3 different ways). The lady serving us was lovely in making sure everything was okay and was also grateful for me passing the plates over to her to make it easier for her. Definitely worth a try!
Before I went down here I read the reviews and was a little weary. Dont lisen to bad reviews try the place out for yourself and trust me you wont be disappointed one bit, this place is AMAZING could not fault it one bit, the staff were very polite and always made sure everything was OK with us. The steak was easily the nicest steak iv tasted on the road ’┐Į. Will 100% recommend and will 100% be back ’┐Į
We visited this restaurant just last night for my Dad's birthday dinner. Booking for 4 people (my family and I) for 8pm. I rang to say we would be 10 minutes late (standard for my family), which was appreciated by staff. Once seated, we were not given a menu until prompted. Once we had menus, our orders were taken in an acceptable timeframe which was fine. The main problem with our evening was we were left waiting for over an hour for our food. An hour and 10 minutes from walking in the door and we hadn't gotten any food. When our starters arrived, we made the waiter aware of this (naturally we were all a bit curt as it was a crazy waiting time) to which the waiter did not even acknowledge our annoyance. My mum was the most annoyed initially as we were paying a lot for the meal. She really wanted to leave, and literally said this to be our waiter, "I was just about to leave" to which he responded with "Okay well do you want these starters? As they're getting cold. " Our starters were two bread boards and one flavoured mushroom dish, so all cold dishes already. So that pissed mum off more and myself off then. So I said "look it's a Saturday night, it's obviously going to be busier. You clearly need another staff member." To which he said "oh we just got busier as we got a lot of bookings in online from a separate site ". Regardless of this, I feel this does not justify the length of the wait. They should be able to manage the workload, wherever the bookings come from. Our starters were measly, the bread boards consisting of 4 small bits of a crusty bread, two sauces and some butter on each board. Our mains were lovely, the streaks were delicious, the sides were nice but none of us were crazy about them. A couple on a date behind us left as they'd been waiting so long too, but as we discovered, not as long as us! Mum pointed that out to our other female waitress, to which she explained their obvious polite excuse; they'd gotten an emergency call and needed to leave. I commented that it was a blatent excuse to leave. Eventually the female waitress did apologise for everything and was very attentive but the male waiter was extremely rude an never apologised. As we were leaving, I acknowledged and said to the waiters "Look I know it's not your fault but you can understand our frustration. But you really need more staff on or something". Another American family beside us also complained at length.
Overall, we decided we won't be back. We weren't given/offered any deduction on the bill. And no one came out to apologise to us and acknowledge that it was unreasonable. Had we organised an open bar or a surprise party for my dad, we would have needed to leave. This is not a true reflection on the food, but on the quality of the customer service.
We visited this restuarant last night and both ordered the fillet steak to be cooked medium. After our starters our mains arrived and both steaks were rare. My wife sent hers back only for it to arrive back to our table the same as it left. We did raise the issue regarding the steak to the staff but felt if a trained chef couldn't cook a steak as per order after two attempts a third would be too long to wait.
The wine list has always been an issue for us here with the cheap end of the market being held in stock which seems odd considering the location. I do want to add that the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to rectify the situation.
Went here for steaks.. would get better meat in Tesco! First and last time.
I will never go to this restaurant again, my wife took me for a meal on Saturday night the menu was for Valentine's week,I have been many times before and enjoyed the meals,this time it was a disaster the food was bland and cold the steak was tough and dry the whole episode was upsetting we didn't even stay for the sweet course but we were still charged the attitude of the older male member of staff was,in his words, no one else has complained, thereviews say might say 5 stars but the chef needs replaced, this is the first time I have ever wrote a review on any site but I feel it is my duty to not see other people get ripped off with such bad food
