Folks there were cold callers reported operating in the Ballymoney area yesterday. It was alleged that they were going from door to door attempting to sell knives. If you do not know the person at your door please don’t let them in. Please call 101 and report any suspicious behaviour.

Scammers are at their work again however they weren’t able to fool an older gentleman from Ballymoney who was told he had a virus on his computer or a couple from Dungiven who had the wit to check with their bona fide TV provider after being contacted by someone claiming they were going to be cut off if they didn’t hand over money.
These fraudsters are clever but we believe the more we talk about and share these scams the fewer victims there will be.

Constable McKeary and Creith from Ballycastle NPT attended The Den youth club in Bushmills tonight. The officers presented the group with a X Box one S and FIFA 19 for use in the youth club and also delivered a CASE lesson on ASB.

A great opportunity for some of our officers and staff today.

LPT officers were out around the district early doors this morning asking motorists to blow into our little yellow box to test for alcohol. Pleased to say all passed the test with no drink drive detections.
Remember if you've had a feed of drink the night before the chances of you being over the limit are a lot higher - if in doubt don't risk driving!

This weekend Police Contact Management have been involved in several multi agency incidents where we have to be professional when dealing with our partner agencies, with the public and with our colleagues within the Police. For that reason we have very high standards which we expect our staff to adhere to, such as being polite, courteous and helpful. Obviously to provide this level of professionalism you have to be here in the first place, so when you sleep in you have to pay the #cakefine Thanks to one of our new people who found out about my strict disciplinary rules earlier and was told not to come in without cakes for the rest of us... donuts were ok today, next time it’s cupcakes.😡🚔🧁🍩 #team999 #keepingpeoplesafe #copslovedonuts Sgt Sam #PSNICMC

Today officers from Coleraine District Support Team carried out two searches across the district. As a result we seized herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £1000 along with associated paraphernalia and evidence. One male in his 20s is currently in custody assisting us with our enquires.
Help the team keep drugs off your street by reporting suspected drug activity to police on 101 or by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Folks we are getting word of motorists encountering difficulties negotiating the main road over the Limavady Mountain. It has snowed and the Broad Road is slippy, though it has been treated and is passable with care.
Please drive with care and leave extra time for your journey.
