Qub Trading & Investment Club Description
Queens University Management School is delighted to introduce a financial trading club in conjunction with the new First Derivatives Trading Room in Riddel Hall. Two members of staff (Dr Barry Quinn and Dr Fotios Papailias) have created this new club to engage students with the practical reality of trading.
Students will experience a simulation of real-world trading while demonstrating their abilities to analyse, strategise and make portfolio decisions. They will gain an invaluable glimpse into the real world of the capital markets as well as true insight into themselves and their suitability to a finance career.
Activities include:
The Queen's Student Managed Fund (QSMF).
A Virtual Trading Competition with real prizes.
Industry Professionals; a seminar series where finance professionals impart their years of experience.
CFA Student Equity Research Challenge.
