2019 Mid-week Shield Winners Rathfriland midweek team defeated Annalong in a close encounter in Newcastle. Annalong raced away to a great start but Rathfriland came good in the second half of the game to win by 10 or so shots.

Rathfriland produce another Star. Former Rathfriland player Peter Haughey made it to the final of the NIBA Youth Singles and was narrowly beaten by 21 shots to 17. Peter,s dad, who plays for Rathfriland, knows that the whole club are delighted with his progress since moving to Banbridge, and wish him continued success in the game of bowls

Congratulations to Jack Moffett ---- from Rathfriland Bowling Club
We at Rathfriland Bowling Club are proud to have been part of your journey to your latest achievement, your first International Cap. Here you are receiving your cap from former Commonwealth Games winner Gary Mc Cloy The other pictures, your first NIBA Junior singles game (2013) in Bangor, your first NIBA title win (2015) at Carrick and later the same year with both the NIBA and IBA Junior cups. Great memories. The International series to be held at Ayrshire in Scotland starts at the end of the month and we all wish you the very best of luck.

Rathfriland B-Team travelled to Finaghy Bowling Club last night to play Donaghadee B-Team in the NIBA Semi Final Junior Cup Game. It was a great achievement for Rathfriland to win the game and go through to the Final against Whitehead B-Team which will be held in July. Congratulations and Well Done to everyone who played.
