Friday 11th Oct, weekly cattle sale saw another good entry of 450 cattle. Male calves changed hands for a top of £420 LIM, £400 LIM, £400 SIM, £400 BB, £360 SIM, £355 BB and £350 LIM. Heifer calves topped £340 BB, £280 LIM, £270 SIM, £235 AA, £220 BB and £215 HER.
In the weanling section males sold to a top £830 400kg LIM, £825 362kg CH, £820 396kg SIM, £815kg 372kg CH, £790 370kg CH and £780 458kg BB.... While heifers in the same section changed hands for a top of £805 392kg CH, £770 388kg SIM, £725 388kg CH, £720 446kg SAL, £700 376kg BB and £645 278kg SIM.
Fat cows reached a top of £1075 696kg HER, £905 696kg LIM, £700 634kg LIM, £670 608kg LIM and £600 678kg FR. Fat Bull reached £1000 for 932kg LIM
Suckler outfit reached a top of £980 for IM with CH Bull at foot and £700 FCK with SH Bull at foot.
Store heifers topped £1120 660kg BB, £1095 660kg LIM, £1085 684kg BB, £1070 602kg BL, £1000 594kg BB and £930 598kg LIM.

... Ewes reached a top of £72 followed by £71, £70, £65, £62 and £60.
A good entry of breeding ewes, a mix of 2, 3 and 4year old, reached a top of £82 pph for a pen of 6, followed by £80, £78, £76, £74 and £64.
