I found beer caps and small bottle of vodka in my bed. But Rick is very friendly.

Decent hostel. Great location. Nice free breakfast

Rick (I guess it was him who welcomed us) is a really nice guy. The only downside is that the WiFi is only accessible in the dining room. The room we had was not too big, just right for a hostel. The mattresses could be a bit softer but the value is great.

The front door was wide open and nobody was home when I showed up to the hostel. I guess the staff member went out, and I waited in the living room for 45 minutes. Not only unprofessional, but it didn't t give me much confidence in their security.. The shower in the morning was ice cold (even after letting it run for 10 minutes), and the continental "breakfast" was hardly a breakfast. Upon leaving the staff member asked me to write a glowing recommendation for the place.. Next time I will spend a few extra euro on a different hostel.

Rick is the friendliest guy around. He makes you super welcome and will help you with whatever he can. It's a place where you can feel relaxed and safe. I would definitely recommend it :-)

This is a budget hostel so don't spect a lot. The building is old and rooms need a maintenance quickly.
The room we had, had a strange smell, the bed was old and the bathroom was even older.
Owner is nice, and prepares a good breakfast for guests (free)
In the website they say they accept credit cards, but in fact they don't, so he accepted euros.
There is kitchen and places to park near by. WIFI only woks in the kitchen
Of course they don't give you towels

Our host Rickie looked after our 3 man and motorbike trip from Turriff to Port Stewart to spectate at the 2016 NW 200. We were treated to join Rickie, wife Gosha and Andres to enjoy his home made shepherd pie. Great meal, great company, great location. Well worth the 1000mile round trip for the hospitality and crack.
