Christmas may have been nearly 2 months ago but it certainly looks like a winter wonderland here in Larne today!
However, no matter the weather we are ready to go to sea to help those in need when the pagers sound.
Stay safe (and warm!)

Yesterday we had crew training and planned to do some assessments. However, when we were getting ready to go on the water, the pagers sounded. Thankfully everyone reacted and we were ready to launch very quickly.
After being stood down, we did carry out the assessments and everyone passed!

We are constantly training to improve our skills and knowledge so we are ready to go to sea for any emergency.
Tonight was a good night to go over our chart work in the crew room and practice with the throw bag and heaving line outside the station.

Please have a read at the below post from our friends in the lifeguards. It’s not just excellent advice for the winter months, but excellent advice for all year round. Well worth a read!

Just a small selection of the many shouts that occur across the whole of the RNLI.
Stay safe in 2020, but we will be here to answer the call if you need us!
