this is a great site 4 kids. very safe and well looked after

New shower and toilet block are of the highest quality and the camping pitches all have electric and water available. The site is 100 yards from the beach and as with all camping holidays if you get dry weather kids can spend hours on the beach. The site is on the doorstep of the mourned if you like walks there are none better.

Lovely clean and immaculately kept caravan site. Lots of static caravans but not to the detriment of touring vans. The wash block is about to be replaced but is still clean and tidy. We liked the smaller size and quieter nature of this site compare to the Cranfield sites around the coast. We would recommend this site.

Fab caravan site (static & touring), particularly for families and pets. Have been coming here for 27 years with my family and have made many happy memories here. Very safe, not too crowded (as the site is small in comparison to Cranfield located further along the coast), beach access, many places to walk and explore nearby including the Mournes, Silent Valley, a small golf course and plenty of amenities on site such as a brand new play park, toilet and shower block, shop with indoor games area for pool. Approx 10 min drive into town of Kilkeel and approx 35 mins to Newry

Read a few bad reports on here about Sandilands, I'm not one to review but I felt it only fair to balance some comments on here. I was traveling the coast of Ireland with my son, camped in many locations, Sandilands is a lovely, clean, friendly site. We got a lovely sheltered pitch, no electricity but we knew in advance. The owners of the park were friendly and welcoming. Toilet is a little far away but if you want ensuite stay in a hotel. We were told early we could use the nearer toilet in the main building so it was fine. Rules explained well. It was a very safe site with managers making sure no messing or noise after 11pm. I'd stay again

It might be of the beatin track but lovely and quite straight onto the beach and fish good nearby handy to Newry Kilkeel and Newcastle. Looking forward to the 2016 season.
