We are delighted to let you all know that the Department of Health have announced funding to ensure that Daisy Hill Hospitals ED remains open 24/7!!!!! Not only that but they have backed the plans to develop the hospital in other areas to allow for the provision of health care our community deserves. This absolutely would not have happened without the unbelievable support shown by the community. We couldn’t begin to list you all, but from the bottom of our hearts, thank you f...or getting behind this and making the campaign the success it has been. Onwards we go!!! #lovedaisyhill

Deepest sympathy to the Preece/ Pentony family on the sudden passing of Barney Preece. Barney was always there to to lend a hand to anyone in Newry that needed help, he was an amazing source of support to us all during the Daisy Hill Campaign and will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace.

**Good News*** #Throwbackthursday makes us think of good times and great memories. However Feb last year was not a great time for Daisy Hill. It was the start of a long hard battle to retain its 24/7 ED and the start of a huge movement to support our hospital. We are now delighted to report that the pathfinder project set up in response to the outcry has had its final report passed by the Department of Health Committee. This means the go ahead for the services outlined in the... picture below for Daisy Hill. This is in no small part to people power and a community never accepting that problems cannot be overcome. Pathfinder is unique, but then again so are we. We now move into the funding and implementation phase. Small steps, long journey, but maybe now we are at least near the brow of the hill. #lovedaisyhill #onwardsandupwards #peoplepower

Disgraceful to think this could all be resolved in a day with a little mutual respect from our "politicians"! To all the "politicians" that used the #SaveDaisyHill hashtag during the peak of this campaign.. Where are you hiding? Because we all know you are not at work!! #EmptyPromises #AE18 #VoteBetter #67hours Thankyou Wasim Slim for raising this! 💪
