Shambles Workshop

Trading the workshop for the race track for the weekend. Road Racing between the hedges at Kells.

After a spell of working on bigger pieces I'm going to work on a range of smaller household decorative pieces which will be affordable and natural. These pieces will be made to order on request and begin with storage/display boxes, handmade bottle openers and a toilet roll holder/dispender, i can always rely on Ethan for his brutal honestly and he seems well happy.

Back to porridge and hitting the ground running today in the workshop. Jobsheets today seen a garden bench dismantled in the first step of it's complete restoration and a set of shelves which we were construcring on Friday completed. Idle hands make light work.

As we prepare to set up for the first of our 2 days at Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival 2019! With Naturally North Coast and Glens there's no better time to debut our new whiskey bar table complete with hidden internal shelf to set your choosen poison into. As with all our pieces it's made oozing as much uniqueness and character as possible, i dont have it with me due to it's size but it is available tho as always i do fancy it myself.

Due to a change in spec on a commission this piece is now open to availability. Naturally aged and weathered locally sourced driftwood block, designed to be suspended from a ceiling and connect directly to a ceiling rose/fitting. The bulbs are mounted directly to the block which throw out a warm light as well as beautifully illuminating the block itself.
Lovely and memorable centrepiece for the home or venue.

Throwback Thursday to a fantastic and inspiring event we were lucky enough to be involved in. Role reversal for Jon to be the one infront of the camera as opposed to behind it for a change. The interview is at 22 minutes in.

Last night was a teaser shot, tonight it's one of the latest large pieces I've been working on as well as commission work. I'm very happy with how this piece came together, the size, the effect of both the lighting and the timber and the warm lighting it throws out is very nice and makes for a stunning centrepiece be it for a home or venue. PAT test certification pending now for sale, commissions and sale enquiries welcomed.

I love creating pieces and every piece should tell a story but I'm very happy with the current pieces on the bench. Teaser shot.
