A bit about Shanti
Shanti Vintage is a vintage and customising clothing business in Limavady. The clothes that we supply are one off, vintage gems from all over the world, from 1920’s flappers to 1990 grunge girlies. The items are re-worked, restored and up-cycled in Limavady, to be worn today, bringing the past into the future with ethical values in mind. Shanti is all about keeping it green and individual. We believe that high street and new are not always the best or most on trend options. Each item in the Shanti Vintage collection is unique and has a story. We believe in individuality, being yourself and embracing who you are. We champion not being afraid to express your personality through your wardrobe, bringing a new vibrancy and personal confidence to the retail market.
We source locally; models, hair, make-up, artistic directors, photographers and stylists, to put together photo-shoots on a regular basis and are very community orientated. We love our beautiful surrounding area, local historical places and nostalgic treats. If there is a chance to help to promote travel or tourism in Ireland Shanti would be a great promotional tool. When planning our photo-shoots we choose each garment for their unique qualities and this reminded me of the hidden treasures in our local area. We plan to incorporate the historic and unique backdrops with our historic and unique clothing. We use our images online, via the Shanti website, ASOS. co. uk, E-bay, etsy, facebook, twitter, tumblr, etc. and for promotional materials such as vintage and fashion magazines, flyers and posters. We have noted through marketing insights that we have a wide catchment area including countries such as Australia, USA, Canada, India, New Zealand, Norway, Germany, Spain, Jersey, Netherlands, Brazil, Congo, Turkey, Mongolia as well as areas throughout Ireland and the UK. Not to mention global sales to shanti customers as far away as Japan, Australia and America!
We also provide craft workshops to show how easy and recycling and customising preloved clothes can be. To reuse and up-cycle is the heartbeat of Shanti and our shanti blueprints make it effortless to turn trash into treasure, while reducing your carbon footprint. The workshops and Shanti blueprints provide a simple step by step guide to get crafty and create something yourself. We provide the materials and tools to complete your own masterpiece where you would least expect!
