Everything you need in a hostel. The kitchen is really great, huge and well stocked with utensils etc

Friendly staff, basic facilities e.g. no plug socket in bedroom and ageing ensuite but clean and has a good communal kitchen.

Nice rooms, cool little place. Horrible wifi but that isn't needed in a small town

Very remote. Perfect place for time away at a good price. Went for stargazing with Queens University and thoroughly enjoyed myself having taken some good CCDs and seen distant stars and galaxies.

Nice rooms of many different sizes depending on how many are staying. The owners are absolutely lovely, the communal areas are well kept and well equipped & there are the most amazing views.

I do not have much to say , just that although trouble may have been caused in a minor way- the lady handled it extremely unprofessionally , swearing and being disrespectful as well as using the fact that we were youth to steal our money. Overall terrible experience and fraudulent owners.

My wife and I have been traveling to Ireland every year for the best part of a decade and we love the country unconditionally, however this was the first time we stayed at this hostel and I was absolutely appalled. Our trip to the beautiful Ballintoy Bay was utterly ruined by our experience staying here. The lady who ran it was extremely rude and disrespectful- I personally witnessed her physically and verbally abusing a group of friendly young travelers in a church group who we had got to know well. We were woken up numerous times throughout the night by her constant shouting, swearing and storming up and down the stairs. To say the facilities were in a poor condition would be an understatement: windows were broken, the pool table had a scratch in it, the floor was sticky, and the beds smelled of faeces and urine. When my wife inquired into the disturbances the next morning she was told to “f*** off.” This was completely unacceptable and upon discussing this with other guests who had been staying here for a few nights we discovered that this was a regular occurrence. The young travelers were also unlawfully robbed of over £1000 in ‘damage fees’ which she had added to their individual bills- what a disgrace. We were forced to cut our trip short, could not have been out the door fast enough and as we were leaving the church group were waiting for the police to arrive. I would rather poo in my own hands and clap than spend another minute in this hell hole.

Poo stains in the beds, vomit stench in the rooms. The floors were all sticky and I even got a glass splinter in my hand when playing pool. Avoid at all costs, especially for church groups wanting to spend £1100 on accommodation. Filthy.
