Had a wonderful time sharing yoga with parents from the Downpatrick Autism Family Support Group over the past 4 weeks π Thank you for inviting me along again. It was an absolute pleasure π
I am grateful to be able to share yoga ππ
Today in Kids Yoga Club we made gratitude jars. Each child named their jar and decorated it. The children wrote down things they are thankful for on slips of paper, and put them in the jar. It was wonderful to hear them come up with so many different things and experiences they are grateful for, and that family and friends were top of their lists π I invited them to take their jar home and add a piece of paper with something they are ...grateful for each day. When their jar is full, or if they feel they need some happiness on a difficult day, they can open their jar and read through and remember things they are grateful for π
What are you grateful for? Maybe youβd like to make a gratitude jar for yourself or with your children? π

My teacher, Jyoti Jo Manuel, sharing special yoga π
When I first met Noah and invited him to join me on the mat he said βIβm scared of yoga!β. This gorgeous wee man is on the move all the time and finds it challenging to be still or focus for any length of time. Every child has an access point to yoga, for Noah it was balancing on yoga blocks. From here he felt safe and relaxed enough to try some other standing postures and then a shoulder stand, which he loved!
When I came back for his second session, Noah was waiting for me ...and keen to help me set up. He was first on the mat and looking forward to his yoga. His mum took these photos from this session, where he focused well in standing asanas and was then able to progress to sitting and supine postures. After a short while he dropped into relaxation on his side; eyes closed, breath deep and relaxed. It was beautiful to witness. I met Noah through my work with Angel Eyes NI and Guide Dogs in Northern Ireland and Iβm looking forward to seeing him again next week for some more yoga π

Great new yoga pilot by Special Yoga supporting children in schools π Fantastic work Jyoti Jo Manuel and Gemma Carey Clarke π
Today I got to share my mat briefly with my pup! ππΎ The children at Kids Yoga Club have been asking to meet Echo for a while and Yoga Quarter was happy for me to bring her in, so the kids got to see and stroke her as part of our Valentineβs Day sharing circle. A beautiful start to the session, learning about what these children love and how it makes them feel π. . . #yoga #kidsyoga #sharingcircle #valentinesday #whippet #love @ Yoga Quarter
