SIMM is a new regulatory body for the wastewater treatment industry and supply chain in NI, working with a collaboration of stakeholders as members.

SIMM is a new collaboration between members of the water treatment industry supply chain in Northern Ireland. SIMM is seeking to represent the industry to the Assembly, institutions and groups, customers and the media. We aim to develop a strategic approach to self-regulation among industry members to raise the standard and quality of products and services, to enhance the commercial potential of businesses and to add value to the way in which the industry operates.
SIMM endeavours to raise awareness of the issues that affect the industry by providing opportunities to present a collective, strategic voice to influence government, other institutions, customers and the media particularly in the area of new regulation and the harmonisation of European standards.
