Last week at Sing Club, we started to learn harmonies for Danny Boy, as well as a great harmony for It's a Long Way to Tipperary. Such a fun song!
And it's all in time for our next choir performance on 14th March in LCDI New members very welcome. You'll soon pick it up!
... Next week, we will learn the most beautiful song from the musical Wicked. For Good. Our homework is to listen to this version. Much better than Maths homework!!
Have a watch/listen. We're in awe of Kristin and Idina. https://youtu.be/TZ0pXUb5jVU

The Benefits of Singing in a Choir!
Studies show that choral singing improves our mood, with a decrease in stress, depression and anxiety. These effects are often attributed to the deeper breathing associated with singing, that is also used in meditation.
These benefits are enhanced in a group setting, compared to singing alone. Singing in a group offers us a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves.
... So.....do YOU want to sing with us? Why not join Sing Club Limavady this Thursday and every Thursday in The Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre 7-9pm.
Men and women aged 18 and over are very welcome. No previous singing experience is necessary. We're together because we WANT to sing, NOT because we can! LOL
A voluntary term fee of £20 applies, to help with some running costs through until Easter.
HUGE THANKS TO OUR FUNDERS This local community choir has been made possible with generous funding from Limavady Community Development Initiative - LCDI in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council

Sing Club Limavady is returning to Roe Valley Arts and Culture Centre, funded by the PEACE 4 Culture and Heritage programme and supported by the Limavady Community Development Imitative and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council. Our Sessions begin again on Thursday 13th September from 7-9pm and will run on Thursdays throughout September, October and November. Under the guidance and Direction of Riana Lynch we hope to look at a variety of musical genres including Musical Theatre, Irish and Ulster Scots. No previous musical experience is required, just a love of singing and a sense of humour. It is a relaxed and welcoming environment and we look forward to seeing many new faces.
