Delighted to announce that I will be reading ghost stories at the book launch of ‘Ghost Stories of Ulster’ at the iconic Crumlin Road Gaol this Friday evening 5th October at 7.30pm in collaboration with Annaclone Historical Society and in aid of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
Entry and parking are free and anyone interested in the supernatural is invited to attend. Also in attendance will be members of Ghost Searchers Ireland.Org and a spokesperson from the nominated ch...arity.

Portadown Festival 2019 dates have been announced as 27th February until 8th March! Save the date!

Very early off the mark but dates for Newry Feis 2019 have just been announced as 11-15 March! Still a while to go yet but no harm in saving the date! 🎭

Our 2018 Winter exams for private students (those taught in Parish Centre or Tesco) will take place on Saturday 15th December at Banbridge Parish Centre! Please save the date!

The relevant age is the age of the child *as at 1st September this year* so it doesn't matter if they have a birthday between now and November which effectively makes them a year older.

Good Morning!
We have had a few queries about Banbridge Festival (5th-9th November) and thought we should clarify the position.
There are two main sections in the festival. One is the schools' section which is only open to children who are taught their pieces by a school teacher at their school. Privately taught pupils are not permitted to enter the schools' section.
... The pupils who attend our private classes and our after school clubs are considered to be privately taught and thus these children would be unable to enter the schools' section of the festival.
HOWEVER, the after school club pupils ARE able to enter into another section of the festival called the Open section which is open to *both* privately taught children and children taught by a school teacher (confusing, we know!)
We intend to enter all willing pupils into the Open section of Banbridge Festival and pieces have already been handed out. Please notify us if you want your child to participate. Entry fee £2 and closing date 28 September.
Hopefully this clarifies things but please just contact us should you have any queries or if you need any more information or clarification.

What an emotive poem. Every single child who gets up on stage is the star of the show!
Can’t wait for all of our Banbridge Festival performers to take to the stage at the Belmont House Hotel in November!
There will be some teary-eyed audience members bursting with pride, not to mention their teacher! ☺️

We think Sienna’s just a little bit chuffed at finding out that she got a Distinction in her very first exam! Congratulations!

Two Distinctions at two very different grade levels for two exceptional students.
In June, Savannah, 4, completed her Preparatory exam and Seána, 13, completed her Grade 3 (Foundation Medal) exam.

Many thanks to my lovely friend and poet, Karen Mooney of Observations in Rhyme, who sent me some of her published work today and it’s just beautiful. Would love to have some of my senior students study and recite some of Karen’s work.

We took are little girl, then four years old, to The class. We hoped it would help boost her confidence and ability to mix with other children. We were shocked how well she took to it and absolutely loves it. In short space of time she had won a award and regularly performs at family events which does not phase her, where before she would hide behind us if someone said hello.

We can’t thank Sinead enough, and would recommend anyone to give this a go.

Our girls attended Sinead's camp last week. When I first suggested it, neither of them were keen. The thought of getting up on stage made them nervous. After the first day, they came home buzzing and couldn't wait to go back. Sinead made it such fun for them and managed to fit in a lot of activities and taught them plenty of wee poems. The kids put on a show on the last day and we were really surprised with the confidence the kids had. Sinead also taught them a valuable lesson that it's ok to be a little bit nervous. Couldn't recommend this enough and am currently looking into them joining a class during the year. Many thanks Sinead x

Our 4 year old Erin attended the little bears summer camp this week and absolutely loved it! She was so excited to go each day and is delighted at the prospect of being able to attend the classes in September. Sinead is just fantastic with all of the children! Thank you again.

My two girl's really enjoyed last week's summer camp with Sinead. They have learnt so much, and had fun doing so. Sinead is excellent with all the children. I would highly recommend Sinead's Speech & Drama.

My two children have been going to Sinead’s after school class in ballydown every Tuesday. They absolutely love it and are so excited to go every week! Highly recommended!

My son who is 3 attended the little Bear summer camp. He really enjoyed the poetry and all the activities that were involved. I thought he might have been a little young but it's a great development for their speech and their confidence. Group activities and drama he loved. Sinead is very encouraging and oh so patient, especially will all their different talents! Thanks again �

My daughters, Annie aged 8 and Kate aged 5, hugely enjoy Sinead's classes and look forward to going to them each week. The girls love the interaction with the other children and they tell me they love Sinead's class because it is fun! They are eager to learn their poems and practice during the week without grumbling, which is definitely a plus! Sinead is very approachable to both the pupils and parents, which has certainly helped put the girls at ease. They are also growing in confidence from attending the classes. I would recommend Sinead's class to anyone who has children showing an interest in drama or performing.

My daughters attended Sinead’s camp and really enjoyed it! They loved all the games and activities throughout the week. When they performed the play on the last day, I was delighted to see how much their confidence had grown � Thank you so much Sinead for providing a wonderful experience for Saoirse and Niamh �

My daughter really enjoyed the Tigers Summer Camp. She came home from it buzzing, her confidence improved and made lovely friends. She is still acting out little performances she learned during the week.

My daughter attended the little bears camp, it was her first experience of speech and drama and she loved every minute of the week! I was amazed to see the variety of poems and artwork in her folder eaxh day. It was finished off with a super showcase of the childrens talent. Sinead was amazing, she is so patient and calm with the children and encouraging to help develop their self-esteem and confidence. Would definitely recommend this camp!!!

My daughter Seána 13, has been attending Speech & Drama classes for 6 month's now and absolutely loves it. Sinéad is a friendly and encouraging teacher who has helped Seána gain confidence. Sineád gives Seána the opportunity to be creative and imaginative in all lessons, while motivating and preparing her to perform at feises and festivals. I simply cannot recommend Sinéad highly enough and want to thank her for all her hard work and support.

My 9 year old son joined Sinéad’s Speech & Drama class in April and absolutely loved it from the start. He has learnt valuable skills and made lots of new friends. He couldn’t wait for the summer scheme to start in July and to get stuck straight in again. He got the opportunity to act in a fantastic play up on stage with all his friends at the end of that week and he loved every bit of it.

I would highly recommend Sinéad Lunny Speech and Drama classes to anyone who wants to act, recite or improve their confidence and have Fun doing so!!

My 5 year old boy Just finished a week in Sineads Summer school and i cant praise her enough for her hard work. At the end of day one i went to collect him only to find him volunteering to recite a poem on stage infront of everyone i was amazed. He ran into class every day full of excitement and wanting to learn more he found the classes so enjoyable. I can not recommend Sinead Lunny Speech & Drama highly enough.

My 4.5 year old daughter attended the Little Bears Camp in July and loved it! She woke up every morning of the camp asking? ' Is it Speech and Drama day today' which was followed by a yippee. She loved learning new poems and getting the opportunity to be ' on stage'. The colouring in, designing folders and singing was all part of the fun. Sinead was amazing with the kids - so animated and brought the poems alive. Having Ava (Sinead' daughter) there was a big hit and as well as being a great helper she was always an inspiration and motivated the kids. Highly recommended. Thanks Sinead and Ava x

I hadnt told any family or friends i was starting Nathan with Sinead an this last few weeks i have had people comment on how well he has come on with his speech an confidence. I can safely say this is full credit to what Sinead does. Sinead is very caring and supportive. The class is excellent and great fun!!! My 3 yr old attends Sinéad’s Friday afternoon class, Isla absolutely loves it. She loves learning all the poems and listening to the stories and I’m really impressed with how Isla has developed into her own little person from attending the class. It's a great learning experience for her socially, to able to mix with other children as she hasn’t started nursery yet! Sinéad is fantastic with the kids and I would highly recommend these classes to any parent.
