Sixt Car Hire Belfast International Airport

Avoid this firm at all costs. Waited for 45 minutes to get car, thankfully it wasn't raining as there wasn't enough room to wait inside.
I was told that the separate insurance I had would not be valid if I incurred any damage.I ignored and refused to take out their insurance.
Returned car with half full tank - ever tried to fill tank to quarter full?!!( This is amount originally in tank) After inspection of car decided that there was damage to rear bumper.I had no recollection of this happening but admit there was a 'scratch'. Was informed that damage cost would be taken from £1200 held on my credit card. Two weeks later I received bill for £437.90. Absolute disgrace.
Thankfully Insurance4 car hire dealt with my claim.
Found the whole hiring experience uncomfortable. Never again.

It was my first experience with Sixt and will be the last one for sure. Never ever will rent a car from SIXT again. unfriendly and helpless staff. they charge me 24 GBP more than online agreement.

Pain to get to and the joker behind the desk needs to work to get his customers served instead of make joke. Travellers want speed in/out and done. Not stand around. Waste of time.

A very unpleasant experience at their BIA branch. At the time of booking online the charges / policies were not very clear so when arrived at the branch I was told that I would have to pay an additional charge on top of my booking to take their premium insurance (reduced to £100 deposit) as they were not able to take £1200 excess amount from my Debit card due to them only being able to take a max of £100 (self made scam). First time I ever heard of this and when questioned that other rental companies are able to charge over £100 to a debit card, the guy serving a different customer was quick to butt in and tell me to try a different rental company. The tone of the person came across as he wanted me pay the extra charges or go elsewhere. The person came across as very rude and racist in manner. Me and my wife felt very awkward of being spoken in such a way in-front of other customers. All customers arriving at the desk were charged this additional amount and they were very surprised and could do very little. I believe the franchise is run by a local KIA dealership so don't expect any other make or model promised on SIXT website as they will only give you a KIA. I will personally recommend to stay clear of them at all costs.

First time renting from Sixt. Staff were professional and really helpful. The car was clean and in good service. Definitely will rent from here again.

I'm a frequent traveller but last weekend was my first time booking with sixt. Staff very friendly and efficient, cannot compliment them enough. Really great selection of cars at great value. Will most definitely be using them again. (Actually allready booked them for next weekend)

This is now the fourth time of me renting from Sixt Belfast, very happy everytime. I've rented from pretty much all the hire companies in the past, and I would not hesistate to recommend Sixt. Yes it is outside terminal building to their office, but it's very close- ive always called them to pick me up, but next time I may walk. You have a similar walk to pickup you car from the companies with desks in the terminal anyway. Thanks Sixt!

5 star service. Friendly and helpful staff. Branch manager went out of his way to make sure the whole process was simple and not time consuming. A smooth transaction from start to finish.
