How does the treatment work?
The main Teeth Whitening ingredient is the non peroxide whitening gel which works in much the same way as the banned peroxide gels. Penetrating deep into the tooth to draw out the stains, but without the risk of damage to the tooth enamel burning. upon application, the gel immediately starts to break down into activated oxygen and water. The activated oxygen then works to remove the colour molecules that have stained your teeth, thus making your teeth whiter.
How white will my teeth go?
Everybody responds differently to the teeth whitening. Those who have yellowish /brown staining respond best to the treatment. The average person will lift between 5-14 shades, although the results will vary.
Will the treatment hurt?
We do not use peroxide or harsh chemicals during your teeth whitening procedure, therefore this makes it perfect for people who have very sensitive teeth or have experienced discomfort from harsher whitening treatments in the past.
Are there any risks associated with this procedure?
There are no risks associated with non peroxide teeth whitening,
How often do i need to get my teeth whitened?
We will give you aftercare advice on how best to avoid future staining of your teeth, however the length of the results will depend on your lifestyle and the aftercare of your teeth.
Will using a laser thin my enamel and does it have any long term damage?
We use a new generation of whitening products that contain no peroxide or other harmful chemicals which can be abrasive to tooth enamel. The product we use will cause no damage to your tooth's enamel.
Why do you use a light /laser?
The light speeds up the reaction of the chemicals without heating up the tissue inside and around your mouth. This results in a much brighter and whiter smile. It is a blue LED light, referred to as a laser.
Why don’t you use peroxide like many other companies that offer teeth whitening?
The use of hydrogen peroxide greater than 0. 1% is illegal. The beauty and cosmetic industry is constantly evolving, and the use of harsh chemicals that can damage teeth and gums is no longer necessary for a great result. Sadly many companies do not carry out the same research and the use of cheaper and illegal peroxide is common on most High Streets.
What do I need to do before my treatment
Avoid eating and drinking for 2 hours before your treatment to avoid the excessive production of saliva. Please do not brush your teeth 4 hours before treatment as some toothpastes may leave a film over the teeth which can make the whitening process less effective.
After your treatment;
Do not brush your teeth for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
Smokers are advised not to smoke for at least 24 hours.
The following food and beverages should be avoided for at least 24 - 48 hours:
Tea
Coffee
Red Wine
Fizzy Drinks
Curries
Dark Green Vegetables
Tomato based sauces
Egg
You can however consume:
Milk
Water
White Wine
Bananas
Bread
White fish
Chicken
Turkey
Quorn
Rice
Pasta
White sauces
