Smiths Memorials was formed in 1999 as an add-on to our existing Funeral business. We quickly grew to become well recognised memorial masons carrying out work in both the north and south of Ireland. As a company, we have been serving the people of Portaferry and surrounding Co. Down area for over 70 years. John Smiths Funeral Directors was founded in 1940 by John and Gerry Smith. From humble beginnings, the company has now grown into what it is today, providing a complete service from the moment of death, right through to the choosing of a memorial. We are constantly expanding and today are able to offer a wide range of memorial services which makes us one of the leading stone masons and monumental sculptors in the Co. Down area, and indeed the entire country of Ireland. We have recently upgraded our showroom, which showcases the many headstones and memorials we have on offer. Our aim is to guide you through the entire process of choosing a memorial, tailoring our service to suit your individual needs and requirements.
