One of my favourite things to do is take someone’s idea and make it a reality for them. Today I had an initial consultation with a customer to discuss and design a dress for her. Guys I have some new #secretpyjamas 🖤 . I cut these #joantrousers by @fridaypatterncompany last night and had them made in a few hours this morning! This pattern it so easy and there are minimal fitting issues as they are made in stretchy ponte fabric. I made a full length version of these at Christmas in navy velvet but they are a little harder to wear during the ‘summer’ months so I am happy to be adding this pair to my wardrobe. I might need a pair in a few other colours t...oo! I love the textured fabric used on the pattern cover so I will be on the look out for something like that. I used one of my big buttons for the front as it isn’t functional so didn’t have to worry about a buttonhole for the irregular shape. . I am so happy with the outcome of these. Is there a more perfect setting for this dress?? . I had a ball in London yesterday visiting the #diordesignerofdreams exhibition. You can pop over to my stories to see a few of my favourite looks. . In true #sewistsofinstagram style I decided on Tuesday evening that I had to finish one of my current WIPs to wear 🙈 I am in love with my new version of the @byhandlondon Eloise dress. I went for the ruffles on the sleeves this time, and had cut a shorter ruffle for the hem too ...but decided it wasn’t right so left it off. . The fabric is a beautiful Lady McElroy viscose from @sistermintaka I love the print and the colours. If you caught my blog round up of me made May you will know I am looking forward to sewing all the dresses in all the colours! I think I have managed to stick to this goal with this make 💕 . We visited @elnlondon and I had to get a snap in front of this wall.
