it is with deep regret that we learned of the passing of our former Parish priest Fr Gerald Conway late last night at his home 52 old warrenpoint Rd, Newry. Reposing at his residence, until funeral on Wed 28th Nov at 1pm in the Church of the Scared Heart, Cloughogue followed by burial in St Michael's Cemetery, Killeen. we send our condolence his Family. May he rest in Peace.

Christmas Coffee Morning Ballela Community Group are having a Christmas Coffee Morning on Sun 10th Dec in Ballela school after 9.45am Mass. There will be delicious homemade scones, buns and treats for everyone and there will be a chance for all the kids to visit santa in his Grotto also Holly wreath for sale. admission £2 per person. Please come along and see our newly painted dining hall, hallway and kitchen, new blinds installed in dining room and new tables purchased. Everyone welcome.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £25,000 by the Department of Communities under their Community Halls Programme to refurbish our Hall.
... This is a fantastic opportunity for us to modernise our hall making it warm, comfortable and welcoming for our entire community to enjoy for many years to come.
The work will start immediately and will be completed by the end of March.
However, to realise the full benefit of this great opportunity we need your help. To complete the work we need some additional funding and we asking our parishioners and good friends in the local community to help if they can.
Please share this page with members of your extended family and friends who used to live in Dromore and would want to offer their support.
We are going to run a 4-week fundraiser to raise the additional £5,000 needed to complete all the work and leave the hall finished.

Ballela Community Group The group are organising a bus to "The Knitting & Stitching Show" in the RDS, Dublin on Sat 22nd of Oct leaving Ballela School at 8.30am and returning approx. 7pm. cost is £20 per person which includes bus and entrance fee to show. Money must be paid at time of booking. There will be nearly 200 exhibitors selling supplies for sewing, knitting, quilting, embroidery and more. Also a gallery where you can view exhibiters work.
