We are a primary school in the town of Maghera in Co. Derry. We currently have 246 pupils enrolled including 19 pupils in our Learning Suport Centres.

St Mary'S Glenview Description

Saint Mary’s Primary School is a co-educational primary school located in the town of Maghera at the foothills of the Sperrins in south Derry.
The school was built in 1970 and has a current enrolment of 246 pupils in 2015. .
The principal has been in post since 1994 and is assisted by 12 teaching colleagues, 8 classroom assistants, a building supervisor and a clerical officer.
There are two LSCs currently catering for 19 pupils with a widening range of abilities and needs.
The school enjoys direct transfer rights for its pupils into St Patrick’s College, Maghera and so has not been involved in the Transfer or unregulated test debacle with all pupils choosing to avail of the direct transfer right in recent years.
26% of the current school population are entitled to Free School Meals and 11% are newcomer children who add positively and signifantly to our experience of diversity.
