Strabane Community Project

Strabane Community Project is based at 42 Barrack Street Strabane

Strabane Community Project provides fresh cooked meals for the luncheon club and meals on wheels patrons in the Strabane area, cooking some 500 meals per week to include our special weekend cold meals service. All meals are packed in special presentable sealed meal trays.





The project carries out a range of other services including:
A free telephone alert service - Good Morning Strabane
Befriending Service in Strabane District Council / L’Derry City Council
A unique Handyvan service in Strabane District Council and L’Derry City Council areas.
Our Rummage charity shop which sell furniture / clothes
Book Worm sells books and educational material.
Meals on Wheels
Luncheon Club
Social Events

Donations are always required and gratefully received. We also accept furniture for our refurb. (You call, we haul)

The project in association with Strabane Unemployed Resource Centre has a number of employment programmes, some of which include essential skills and IT. A new job club, in association with the Job Centre has just been established with aims to help with interview skills, CV’s and job searching.

The project has and will continue to provide a range of anti-poverty measures at a time of great fuel and food poverty; such as our fuel stamps saving scheme initiative, supported by the Public Health Agency and Strabane District Council; our impending food bank and our cook it budget courses.
