A reputation for class fish in both our fly lakes makes it hard to chose anywhere else for quality and price. Everyone welcome.

These are exciting times at Co. Antrim's largest privately run fishery. We cater for all levels of angler and 2015 sees us adapt our offering of fishing experiences:

Fishery manager and Game Angling Instructor, Ray is in his 5th year at the helm, and building a reputation for making superb quality fishing available to the public. Concentrating efforts on quality stocking, clean and comfortable facilities and competitive prices has seen anglers travel to us from near and far.

What a fantastic days fishing on the horsetail retreat lake yesterday, between us all we caught at least 14 fish, a few small tench but some monster carp that had my Avon rod bending like I have never seen before. Andy and the crew were brilliant and the camaraderie between fellow fisherfolk was also great. We will be back again very very soon.
Visited straid fishery today and I had a totally brilliant experience.staff and volunteers absolutely 1st class I would and will be with out hesitation be recommending this fishery to everyone. We also brought groups of children all of different age brackets and they provided great facilities ,I cannot thank each and everyone enough
Top quality fishery, the fish are all full finned and give a good scrap also brilliant staff that are helpful and friendly ��

I joined in with a woman's beginner class. I had a wonderful time, loved it. I'll be looking out for more of these events.

Friendly fishery with hard fighting rainbow and brown trout.
Fished straid last week. Great place and plenty of fish to fight with. Finished off the day with a nice 3lb brownie.
First visit to the fishery yesterday for about 9 years. Wasn't the best of conditions but thoroughly enjoyed my visit to what is obviously a well managed fishery. Fish I did catch were in fantastic condition and one 4 poundish gave me the fight of a lifetime. Will be back!
First time here in years, got there only to realise I left my fly rod in the house, thanks to the owner who saved the day by lending me his rod, much appreciated, fishing was tough today due to the conditions , still manged a 4lb trout, best looking trout iv seen in any lake, fish was fin perfect and gave such a fight, missed a few others but had a great day, already looking forward to my next trip here
A great spot full of hard fighting trout excellent staff and great facilities in a great location.
A great fishery with staff who are always willing to help. Hard fighting fish with great scenery to help forget life's worries. Very reasonably priced , the only thing missing is food. Ballynure and Ballyclare are very close by to get food.
