Strangford Fuels Ltd

Strangford Fuels is a prime distributor of home heating oil, red diesel and coal to the residents of County Down. Established in 1981. Originally based in Strangford, we now operate from a state of the art oil and coal fuel depot in Downpatrick.

We supply heating oil to homes and businesses. We also deliver red diesel to businesses farmers and fishing boats. We make frequent deliveries of red diesel to the fishing boats in Ardglass and other locations on the coast. Strangford Fuels, a coal delivery business based in Strangford, was established in 1981 by Comgall Milligan. Around 1990 home heating oil and red diesel delivery was added to the coal delivery business. The home heating oil business benefited from the government policy to move Housing Executive houses away from coal to oil heating, and the heating oil, red diesel and coal delivery business outgrew the Strangford depot.
