I was clearing out some old stuff on my website and came across a post that still very much applies.....ESPECIALLY NUMBER 3
First of all thanks for taking the time to read this I have no doubt that this blog post will help you find the right photographer for you. This post is NOT for self advertising but to simply help you in choosing your photographer, If you decide after to get in touch with me then great and I look forward to hearing from you but as I say thats not what t...his post is about.
So...you need a photographer, you look for someone in your budget that has some great looking images and job done! get them booked? Or is it that simple?
1- What does their price include? A disc or USB of images? If so are the images of full high resolution quality? are they watermarked? or are you going to end up with thumbnail images only good for facebook and then be charged for High quality copies? please make sure you know what you are getting.
2- Coverage, is It all day coverage? please confirm what all day means
3-Are all their images fantastic? Or are you seeing 20 of their best over a period of 10 years worth of weddings. Please make sure you have a look at AT LEAST one complete wedding when you see a photographer.
4-Do they have insurance? Did you know some venues insist on this? please make sure you see their insurance certificates. could you imagine the morning of your wedding your photographer being turned away from the venue because of no insurance,or what happens to Auntie Joan when she falls over the photographers bag and breaks her elbow?
5-The most important Please Please meet or at least speak by phone to the photographer BEFORE you book them, if you meet and find they lack personality or for what ever reason you don't feel relaxed and comfortable round them then how do you think this will be reflected in your images on your wedding day. Because don't forget on your big day the photographer is probably the person you will mostly interact with, besides your Husband/Wife.

Wow wow wow! Just got our wedding pics back and they are spectacular. Stuart listened to what we wanted from our photos and they are more than we could have hoped for. Such a wonderful mix of natural and dramatic shots capturing all the emotions of the day. From the minute we met, working with Stuart was so easy and he brought lots of laughter to our day. Thank you!

Where do we even start! Absolutely brilliant. Stuart is highly recommended. From our first meeting to the whole of our wedding day, we cannot praise him enough. He works at the highest standard and his professionalism is outstanding. We loved having him be a part of our special day and not to mention his lovely other half Lindi who was also fantastic. Stuart made us feel very at ease and everyone else was completely comfortable, he had some great ideas and nothing was too much trouble! We have seen a sneak peek of some wedding photos and cannot wait to see the rest! We wish him the best of luck for the future xx

Stuart was just brilliant throughout the entire day. On top of being good fun and easy to get on with he clearly demonstrated his knowledge and expertise in wedding photography and we cannot wait to see the photographs he has taken! Definitely a must have at your wedding.

Stuart was great for us on the day. We both hate getting photos. Wouldn’t have known he was there. Made you relax and we’re both able to enjoy are day without worrying about getting photos taking. Great guy and top job. Thanks very much.

Stuart was brilliant! Throughout the day Stuart was there to help us through our day from taking the shots we asked for, to helping us cut the cake!! We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer as he blended seamlessly into the background to take photos and took us aside separately when it suited for some much needed quiet time and individual pictures! Thank you so much and for that we couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Stuart photographed our wedding on the 7th Nov and we were blown away by both the standard of the photos and the quality of the service we received. From our first meeting with Stuart we were both very impressed by his knowledge,minis professionalism and his easy going manner. All further discussions were equally simple and made planning the photography for our big day a breeze. On the day itself both Stuart and his wife were a lovely calming presence and ensured that all the important moments were captured, without becoming intrusive or demanding too much time from the day. They were great fun to work with and we both felt very at ease having so many pictures taken.

As for the photos themselves? Breathtaking is the only word I can use. They evoked so many lovely emotions and memories of the big day and truly captured the essence of it for us. A first class photographer and would definitely recommend to anyone. We will be using him for all family events in the future :-)

And they have all brought back such special memories. Not only did Stuart make the process on the day so easy he ensured we were happy, comfortable and relaxed. All our guests commented on what a 'true gent' he was and how he joined in with everyone and also our car driver and master of ceremony were delighted to work with him.
