Sunflowerfest is a three day festival of music and arts with camping on the magical Tubby's Farm (a working farm) in Legacurry just outside Hillsborough Co. Down. It is NI's only festival of music and arts with three full days of music, performances, entertainment, activities and camping. Tubby's Farm is a popup town for the weekend of the festival and we must cater to a huge variety of needs. We provide twelve core festival areas including seven stages of music from our large Main Arena showcasing headline performances to smaller niche venues providing music, poetry, comedy, and theatre. We have a dedicated Kidszone, Bliss wellbeing area, outdoor cinema and a permaculture community garden with an edible forest. Since 2016 NI Year of Food and Drink we have placed a major emphasis on providing the best food so we have our core Sunflower Village food area with more food and drinks vendors located throughout the site. We have six campsites split proportionally between Family Camping and General Camping with additional campervan and glamping areas. Hot compost heated shower facilities are available to the public in both the family and non-family camping areas with luxury showers in the Glamping and campervan area. 2018 is Sunflowerfest's ninth year. In 2016 we were shortlisted for the NI Tourism Awards and came a respectable third behind Ulster Rugby and the Balmoral Show, our 2017 edition won the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Mayor's Community Award for best cultural event and has been further nominated for an All-Ireland Pride of Place Award taking place in Cork this November.
