*** MAC MILLAN COFFEE MORNING***
Folks our coffee morning on Saturday was a massive success, we cant thank you all enough for all your help and kind donations!!! I have said it before Turf Lodge as a community gets slaughtered at times for all the negative things but when things like this happens it shows what a strong and close knit community it really is!! On our 3rd annual coffee morning we have raised a staggering £1,307.64!!!! This is because of every single one of our ...customers who bought ballots or who donated on the morning, the generosity is incredible.

We want to say a special and big thank you to Annemarie McCarthy, what this woman does for these mornings is incredible, she bakes all the cakes and buns and like all the other people who bakes she does so out of her own pocket and time and doesn’t ask or accept a penny for her efforts!! We can’t thank her enough.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Dympna, Denise, Jennifer and Nicole who without them we seriously couldn’t do these mornings!! They use their days off to come and help these mornings be as successful as they are.
Finally, I would like to say a personal thank you to my daddy, I usually try and take the credit for most good ideas but unfortunately I can’t take this one, 3 years ago he suggested we do something like this to give back to charity and the community. Without him organising bakers, caterings and prize’s the morning just wouldn’t happen!! Also he keeps telling me he’s the boss so he has to ok it, the staff no different!!!!!!! Ha
To end on a final note, we honestly cant thank everyone who attended, baked, donated or in other ways helped to make our coffee morning the success it became.

***ANNOUNCEMENT*** we are delighted to announce we have raised £1,150 from our coffee morning this morning!! Considering last year we raised a brilliant £400 this years generosity has been unbelievable, not only have we beat last years target we have almost trebled it!! Like all our fundraisers we couldn't do it without the support of the people in turf lodge and further afield, the support and kindness from our customers and community is mind blowing at times! We would like ...to thank everyone who baked and provided cakes, buns and biscuits for today, we really couldn't do these mornings without your help! We would like to give special thanks to Annemarie McCarthy who for the second year has baked a lot of cakes and biscuits with her own products, time and money and doesn't ask or accept a penny for her troubles, the woman is brilliant!! (Don't tell her I said that). We would also like to thank dympna who again without her help we couldn't do these mornings, she's brilliant! She goes far and beyond to make these events possible and successful. Also many thanks to Denise for giving up her own time this morning to help out, greatly appreciated! Would also like to Thank Nicole for all her efforts in the last week or so leading into the coffee morning!! I would like to give a special mention to my daddy (tony) for all his efforts in making this event a success, it was his idea and it's him who Organised the majority of it. FINALLY, a massive well done and thank you everyone who donated regardless of how small, to everyone who attended and once again on behalf of Tony and staff thank you all for all your generosity!!

***ITS TIME***
So this Saturday marks our second annual coffee morning in support of the Mac Millan nurses charity. I’m sure at some point in the past or future some of our families will need or have availed of the services of these amazing nurses, I know my family have needed them in the past and they are incredible!
We will be starting our coffee morning at 10am, we hope to see as many of you there as possible! 😊 Last year we raised over £400, let’s see if we can beat it t...his year!!
