Went on Thursday night for the first time. Lovely inside with air conditioning. Staff were very helpful and polite and food was delicious. Will definitely be back ’┐Į

We've had many meals here, tried most of the dishes and have honestly never ever been disappointed. Beautiful, tasty food and lovely staff.

We have loved Tale of Spice since it opened, and hadn't been for some time due to circumstances... so good to return and find the food as amazing and great value as ever, the staff so friendly as always, and the atmosphere just perfect. Brilliant restaurant, and we won't be leaving it so long until we are back again :-D

Love this restaurant. The food is excellent, and I don't eat the same thing every time I go, it's always so fresh and tasty. The staff are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend it...and I don't usually write reviews.

About 8 of us had a birthday meal here in July. Staff were great, place is really nice and the food was first class! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Regular customer and food always fab. Unfortunately tonight their service was terrible. Went to avail of the offer of 2 courses and a drink for ┬Ż15. When provided with menus I realised the early bird wasn't presented so when raised with the server he said they don't do this one when they bring out the Xmas menu. He said it was in the t&c however when I presented him with the t&cs he said there was more than stated. They state the menu is unavailable the month of December, this is November.... sad considering we were the only ones there. Disappointed customer.

We ordered two meals tonight and they both were delivered cold. Now this is not a huge issue but the staffs reaction to my complaint was absolutely terrible. I originally rang and was told the manager would call me back. I did not recieve a call back. I therefore had to call back a considerable time later myself and the manager Abhi argued down the phone that this was not possible. There was no apology and this reaction by a senior member of staff is not acceptable. Also the menu states that a poppadum comes with every main course. We recieved half a poppadum and again the manager argued that this was not possible. We have been regular customers both sitting in and takeaway but we wont be back.

Took a trip up with friends one of them got a hair in there meal which obviously put us off eating are meal we then informed one of the staff Which he told us there is no blonde hair people that cook here but the waitress had long blonde hair which was serving food with hair not even tied back the attitude of the member of staff was appalling slamming food plates and not even a sorry about what has happened won't be back to this restaurant!!!!!

I booked the Tale of Spice for my partners birthday, for 12 people. It was explained to me that every person over 8 I would need to pay a ┬Ż5 deposit meaning I owed ┬Ż20. I rang back to add on 2 more people and the person I spoke to wanted me to pay ┬Ż5 per each person going, meaning I now owed ┬Ż70. I asked him then to just cancel the whole booking as I felt this was far too much to pay upfront. He just hung the phone up on me! Such rude staff and poor service which is such a shame because we have always enjoyed the food.

First time sitting in at this restaurant and I am so disappointed ’┐Į after hearing good reviews myself and 2 friends decided to go tonight after work. Everything was fine until I got a big blonde hair in my curry. Declined another meal as I was feeling nauseous to say the least, and the managers attitude was disgusting. He slammed plates on the table and wouldn't even so much as give an apology. He refused to take responsibility for the hair in my food and even after advising him that our waitress had blonde hair he still said it wasn't the right length to be hers ’┐Į now considering I'm a brunette I doubt it came from my head. He treated my friends appallingly. Spoke to us like dirt in front of other customers and tried to over charge one for her meal. I will never ever be back to this dump. Would give it a 0 star rating if I could. The managers customer service skills leaves alot to be desired. Perhaps some basic manner training wouldn't go a miss either. Pathetic and sorely disappointing experience.
