Tara Lodge is an award winning detached, 1800sq. ft. , 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, holiday lodge located on the outskirts of the beautiful rural village of Castlerock, in County Derry /Londonderry, which itself nestles on the shores of a stunning Blue Flag Beach, overlooked by historical Mussenden Temple & Downhill Castle.
Tara Lodge has been beautifully furnished and decorated with high quality items, and is simply superb for any party looking for a rural and seaside getaway. Excellent for those golfers wishing to access the best links golf courses on the North Coast, Castlerock, Royal Portrush & Portstewart Golf Clubs, all within 20 miles.
The beautiful modern fixtures and furnishings have been combined with traditional pieces to create a truly luxurious holiday lodge. There is solid wooden flooring and a reclaimed brick inglenook fireplace housing a cosy wood burner in the living room, while the high spec kitchen offers solid oak work surfaces, enhanced by an antique dresser with solid oak worktop. For those coffee connoisseurs there is a DeLonghi Espresso Coffee Machine. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor one with ensuite and then a large bathroom with separate shower. Upstairs there are 2 further bedrooms and a beautiful shower room. The upstairs double bedroom also has its own lounge area for relaxing and chilling out. The outside area is perfect for alfresco dining, and the sound of ocean waves will relax you as you allow it to sooth your senses. Curl up in front of the cosy open fire, make the most of the decking areas and enjoy freshly made coffee whilst taking in the fresh sea air. Stroll down to the amazing beach, overlooking Donegal, Inishowen Peninsula, watch the dolphins & porpoise enjoying the fresh Atlantic waves and then wander up the hillside to the breath-taking Mussenden Temple. Castlerock is sure to entice and delight even the most discerning of visitors.
Within the heart of the village is the train station giving easy access to Belfast, Dublin & Londonderry /Derry, there's also a local bus service providing pick up and drop off in the village too. About half an hours drive to Magilligan Point with access to Foyle Ferry to Donegal, Inishowen Peninsula.
