I’m afraid we have to cancel our festival Teddy Bears Picnic in the garden tomorrow (Monday) - the weather is showing rain pretty much all day! Sorry to have to cancel - we seem to be getting our usual Northern Irish weather - but hasnt May, June and July been beautiful?!
Can you help us spread the word by sharing this post? Thank you!

User

We’re bedecked with beautiful organically grown Kilcoan Gardens flowers for the festival - many thanks to the newly weds Jonathan and Sarah for recycling their wedding flowers with us!

Winding down at the end of a sunny Friday afternoon with our fabulous Friday musicians at The Bank House #MellowMusic #CausewayCoastalRoute #TraditionalMusic

we love this place! Always get yummy food and a smile from friendly staff. Never ever had been dissapointed there. Can't recommend it high enough.☺️

You can dine on fine cheeses, meats, olives and olive oils, and homemade soups (all vegetarian-friendly, using only vegetable stock). The coffee shop has comfy couches, or you can sit in their garden area if you’re with your dog, or on a bicycle. It also has suspended swinging chairs! Out there is a life-sized willow sculpture of a horse and a ploughman. They have a wheelchair ramp, a toilet, and a cash machine (ATM), outside on their front wall. There is a free car park around the corner on Balmoral Avenue, plus free street parking on King’s Road. Free traditional music on Friday afternoons. Their hygiene score is a perfect 5 out of 5. The staff are extremely cheerful, and helpful.

Where else can you go in your local town with your 87yr old Mum on her birthday and get a surprise bouquet of beautiful flowers and a warm and loving greeting from the staff? Its a home from home for our family :-) Thank you Sinead.

Went to lunch with a friend. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We both ordered the soup served with multi grain bread (we discovered was locally sourced). It was just wonderful and very tasty. We were spoilt for choice when it came to desserts. I recommend the apple sponge. We enjoyed a browse through the shop and bought a few vintage type Christmas ornaments we found amongst beautifully handmade gifts. The crafted wooden ornaments were rustic and very reasonable too. There was a fabulous display of baby and toddler clothes gifts. If you are in the area - check it out! You will not be disappointed.

User

We stopped in today for lunch. What a beautiful place. Great deli Selection. Food was fantastic coffee very flavourable and the staff were so helpfull. Would highly reccommend for something different. Whiteheads hidden GEM....

User

Very nice food and coffee.

User

Very enjoyable lunch of loaded hummus ciabatta

This is a superb place to sit and eat or drink. It started out as an arts and craft shop and added the cafe soon after. It is always buzzing with life. Shoppers, crafts enthusiasts, hungry or thirsty punters or just those who want a cuppa while they watch the world will find a welcome here. Never yet had any cause to be disappointed with the food or drink. Child and disability friendly. Go and enjoy.

My sister and I recently had Sinead from The Bank House cater for our event. The food was excellent and really beautifully presented. Our guests were all very pleased with it and it really added a special touch to our evening. Sinead was really easy to communicate with and gave us lots of advice in the run up to the event. I'd definitely recommend this service and would use again in the future!

Lovely place, great deli ...well worth a visit 👍

User

Just had a lovely lunch here - had The Deli Board and everything was delicious. Soup & smoothie very good as well. Local cheeses and chutneys - will definitely be back!! Well worth a visit. Great gift shop as well.

I went to the deli on Saturday and ordered a picnic for my mums 60th birthday lunch. I had never been before and wasn't sure what to order so the owner gave me an amazing selection of all their nicest things. It was absolutely beautiful especially the pate. Can't wait to get back again.

User

I noticed that someone (one lonely sad person) gave the Bank House One star.

I wish there was a special..... Diamond star award.... for this little gem of a place...

I'm going back again today for my aprés art class coffee...and a little bit of shopping temptation in the gift shop.

User

I just love this gem of a place. Inspiration in heaps, beautiful gifts for everyone (and pressies for myself!).

Today's purchase was some gorgeous items from Granny's Closest for a new baby present and for the first time I actually took the time to sit down and enjoy the surroundings.

A friend treated me to a scone and drink - both were delicious, served by friendly and attentive staff and I met a few locals along the way, always ready for a chat. There's plenty going on in Whitehead and the surrounding areas - deciding what to do first is the hardest part!

User

Great for home made soups and the flat whites are second to none. Now lovely food available to go from the deli, get yer ass down there!

User

Great food, lovely staff and a nice atmosphere! Will definitely be back!!

User

Great cheeseboard, though it’ll be one each next time as sharing became dangerous lol great chat and welcome from owner!

User
