This Saturday! The Roadhouse Doors will be joining us in the Empire Music Hall, with the 50th anniversary of the psychedelic masterpiece Strange Days to perform.
With authentic instruments and a deep understanding of what made Jim Morrison and the Doors such a seminal outfit, the Roadhouse Doors will be playing Strange Days in full, alongside a set of the greatest hits.
We have booked them, they will come!

If you were there then you know that the music was better in the 80’s. Frankie went to Hollywood, ABC gave us the Look of Love and Prince showered us in his Purple Rain. The movies still stand up (We’re ignoring that Top Gun remake – we ain’t getting on that plane, fool) and the fashion never went away.
Join Maurice Jay, his band and the utterly up for it Pleasuredome regulars for what always proves to be an utterly unmissable sell out show, always one of the Music Halls hottest nights. Dressing up isn’t compulsory, though it should be!
Tickets £10 | On sale soon!

Brilliant news from Ticketmaster!

Tomorrow night, former Barenaked Ladies singer and Songwriter Steven Page will be joining us in the Empire Music Hall. Tickets are still available for the cult icon's debut solo Irish and UK gig, from Ticketmaster and the Empire Box Office.
Responsible for 99's song of the summer, One Week, the Barenaked Ladies already had a smashing back catalogue of laid back, slacker pop gems. Since then Steven Page has toured the world and back, released his own acclaimed material and even participated in a reunion at Canada's equivalent to the Mercury Awards.

Great interview with guitar hero Richard Thompson in Folk and Tumble ahead of his SOLD OUT Empire Music Hall show next week. We can't wait to have another genuine legend tear up Botanic.

Hit the 80s time tunnel this Saturday courtesy of The Pleasuredome 80s Tribute Band. Who are Pleasuredome you may ask? Only the country's finest all live 80s pop, rock and soundtrack party band.
From the biggest functions to supporting Limhahl himself Pleasuredome can be relied on to deliver the best of retro thrills. Doors open at 8.30 for the time if you're lives.

Love getting feedback, especially when it's from within the trade. Definitely different times, and you have to admire the dedication on display. Maybe Guinness should make this into an advert!

Tuesday night is Discobeard night in the Empire Basement! One of Belfast's hottest live properties, Discobeard delve into their big fudging bag of covers and drag the funk out of it. Tunes from 11 (immediately after the Comedy Night) and free in!

Tonight, in the Empire Comedy Club, the brilliant Totally Wired. Parodies, spoofs, tunes and chuckles, all guaranteed, courtesy of the finest musical comedy duo named after a Fall 'hit'.
Also on the bill, the wonderful Johnny Candon, who did a great job opening up for Joe Lycett in June, and the amazing Bryan Skyward to boot.
Doors at 8, first act on at 9, £8, £7 for students!

*competition!*
Fancy winning a pair of tickets to former Barenaked Ladies singer and songwriter next Monday 13th of August? Do you remember the late 90s? Simply like and name as many songs as possible from the era to reference conspiracy theory and sexual tension marathon TV show The X-Files.

Hot new Belfast outfit The Mannerly Hoods make their Gifted debut right at the top, headlining the September 6th season opener. Street level cheeky indie, reminiscent of Supergrass or the Coral. Both cracking singles have received all sorts of plaudits from local media types, but don't let that put you off.
Cracking support line-up as well, with Buffalo Bay, @pysphony and Matt McCrum. All kicking off at 9.00 and all for the inflation busting price of £3.
