The Churches' Trust

The organisations’ vision or purpose is:
‘Churches standing together to improve the situation of those in need’.

The Churches’ Trust Group has been in existence in the City, since 1985 when the then Moderator of the Local Presbytery, Rev James Young, instigated a meeting of the four main Churches which resulted in the predecessor of this organisation being formed to combat unemployment following the closure of two factories. Since then the Churches’ Trust remit has been changed and expanded to reach out to the unemployed, the disadvantaged and those in need.
The Trust is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

Columba Heritage Trail
Flexicare Service for the Elderly (Cityside locality)
Training for long-term unemployed
