Thankful for all that Pádraig has shared with us as leader over the last 5 years. Looking forward to our journey with Alex when he starts over the summer. It’s in the shelter of each other that people live…
Easter Sunday Conflict is often riven with conflict. It seems obvious to say but it’s worthwhile reflecting on. Conflict opens up conflicted stories about the truth. Something happens that has caused a rift, and then the question is “What happened?” Pádraig Ó Tuama writes this prayer:
It seems appropriate today to say we're partnering with Place for Hope in The Glasgow Gathering, exploring faith-based responses to conflict later this year, 31 Oct-2 Nov. Bookings are now open and we'd love to see you there.

Today, a day of terrible grief in our community, we remember all those murdered in senseless violence.
On BBC Radio Ulster this morning, Pádraig offered a reflection for Good Friday which we share here in solidarity and silence.

Today, Good Friday, we wake to the news of a senseless death: Lyra McKee, a dedicated and gifted journalist was murdered last night in Derry.
So many people live in the wake of grief here, and we are heartbroken for the family and friends of Lyra.
A prayer in times of violence
... God of all humanity in times of violence we see how inhuman we can be.
We pray for those who, today, are weighed down by grief. We pray for those who, yesterday, were weighed down by grief.
And the day before, and all the days before the day before.
We pray, too, for those who help us turn towards justice and peace.
Turn us all towards justice and peace because we need it.
Amen.

For Good Friday, we are offering you a narrative reflection on Jesus, our powerful friend. In the face of violent power — particularly the violent power of the Romans — we see narrations of Jesus, who had a profound relationship with power, but a power that included, rather than lashed out. Pádraig has written this prayer...
