"It is not trying to compete with the fashionably shagged-out look of the downtown bistros and brasseries... the Mitre concentrates on comfort, the crispness of the linen, the intensely polished glare of the crystal and the very big book containing its wine list."
Thank you to Belfast Telegraph for the fabulous review of our Sunday Lunch at the Mitre Restaurant.

We had a gorgeous meal there last night, everything was perfect. Jayde was exceptionally lovely, she was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The Culloden is somewhere my husband and I love going to. We try and go at least once, if not twice a year. They are obviously doing something right as we have been going for twenty years now. Can't wait for our next visit!

User

Was at a wedding with my wife last weekend and have to say the place was fantastic. Food, service and facilities A* . There was an accident involving spilled drink. Visited the spa for lunch and a treatment as a birthday treat. I thought that the staff were great, although it was a professional and luxurious environment they were also warm, welcoming and friendly which I find very important. The boutique facial was so lovely, the ESPA products feel and smell amazing. Got a wonderful massage and gel nails as well as a lovely lunch by the pool. A great experience overall. Thank you

User

Just home from a fab overnight stay! It was perfect from start to finish including our meal last night at the Cultra Inn. A great choice available for breakfast this morning in the Mitre Restaurant too. The Spa facilities are lovely and we enjoyed a very relaxing morning before we left. Just finished a full body massage treatment by Pamela who I have to say was exceptional. Not only a lovely girl but she really has a passion for what she does and is highly professional. Talking me through my points of pain and concern before the treatment began and focused mainly on the places I had pointed out with my back during the treatment. Afterwards talked me through everything the areas possible reasons behind these and how to help overcome the ongoing issues. Honestly the best massage Iv had and would recommend anyone to request Pamela as I am so fussy with massages! Thank you Pamela! Will be back x

User

Just back from an over night stay with the family. This hotel in one word is perfect!!!! The staff are a credit so welcoming and friendly. From check in to check out i couldnt fault one thing. In 1 word; Absolutely perfect! Well....tha'ts actually 2 words ;-) But words can't describe how our stay was. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and at home. During our 4 night stay we'd also booked a afternoon day. Before arrival we mentioned that we're celebrating our mom's 65th birthday. Just wanted to know if they could do something extra during this high tea. But on arrival they already mentioned it and because of her birthday we were upgraded to the Ava suite! WOW, this room was so perfect! The afternoon tea was also delicious! All the staff were very frienly. They really made our stay very special. Unfortunately we had to check out yesterday. But we'll definitely be back! Everyone at the Culloden Estate; thanks for everything and hope to see you soon!

Our treatments at the spa itself were fantastic, we came away so relaxed. Thanks again!

Beautiful location and outstanding service. Sian in reception is a lovely girl with a very warm nature. She made me very welcome straight away. The spa treatment from Charlotte was out of this world. My husband and I stayed here for two nights straight after our wedding before our honeymoon began thanks to an extra gift from my mum! Absolutely beautiful place! Room was fantastic... we stayed in the craigavad suite If I remember correctly. It was large very clean and the facilities outstanding. We walked around both inside and outside of the building, even the lift is beautiful We had a lovely breakfast the morning after the wedding which was perfect service is fabulous and majority of staff polite, I did however incounter a rude member of staff behind the reception desk which I knocked a star off for. I wouldn’t normally but since technically I was on honeymoon and the amount of money paid I’ve taken the star off. This isn’t just the run of the mill hotel. I had asked about sending my wedding dress for dry cleaning and if this was a service they offered. Her reply was a dirty look and that they would HAVE to send it out specially... it wasn’t so much what she said but it was her tone. I might have came in with an asda bag from my recent trip to the shop but I was still a paying customer. She was then interrupted by a grey haired gentleman at the desk who then explained very politely that it would be sent out specially, not done within the hotel and could take a week and since staying two nights best to find something else. I agreed slightly peeved at the rude receptionist but wouldn’t let this experience stop myself from coming back. Unfortunately I do not have her name. I just didn’t expect to be talked to in this manner even if I ‘look’ wealthy or not I was paying to be there. All other staff no complaints. The culloden is definitely a place to go if u want luxury and it’s on my list of ‘to do again ‘

User

My sister and I both booked the Body Bliss Spring Spa Experience as an Easter treat given we were off work for few days. Having been to the Slieve Donard, Galgorm and Lough Erne on several occasions and given the Culloden is a 5 star hotel our expectations were probably as you would expect, reasonably high. We couldn’t believe how dated the pool, steam room and changing room facilities were, these areas are in serious need of a makeover, not what we expected for the Culloden Hotel, I actually took a photograph of the grout in the steam room which was extremely grubby, we were also disappointed that there was no sauna. There were 5 loungers which other guests had claimed by using their robes/towels despite not actually using them, leaving nowhere for anyone else to sit and relax! Our Therapists and the staff we encountered were all really lovely as were our treatments however the spa facilities as mentioned above were extremely disappointing, and this would discourage us from coming back.

User

Made a lunch booking in the cultra inn as I was entertaining some visitors from abroad. Waited 40 minutes for our starter to arrive, watched quite a few others being served their main course who arrived after us as we waited another 45 minutes for our main course to arrive. Was very disappointed and embarrassed. Food was very good when we got it and the staff were polite. Not sure what happened here as the restaurant was not at all busy. Never had this problem before.

Was very disappointed and embarrassed. Food was very good when we got it and the staff were polite. Not sure what happened here as the restaurant was not at all busy. Never had this problem before.

Was at a wedding with my wife last weekend and have to say the place was fantastic. Food, service and facilities A* . There was an accident involving spilled drink. The manager/supervisor couldn't do enought very professional and courteous turned a disaster moment into an very enjoyable/memorable evening

Thank you

On Saturday, I visited the Culloden spa for the first time! Can I just make it known how friendly each and every member of staff was! The massages were amazing- special thanks to Hannah! She was just so friendly and made me feel so at ease! Lovely lovely person! It was just what my friends and I needed, afternoon tea and some time to relax! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I visited the Culloden for Royal Wedding afternoon tea on Saturday( Facebook competition winners). As always we had 5 star treatment! All staff we dealt with were polite and friendly. Such a lovely experience. The Culloden had arranged tv screens very well so that all guests could enjoy the viewing of the Royal Wedding, we received a beautiful order of service and menu. Fabulous afternoon tea experience. A special thank you to Adam our server, for his attentiveness .

Just home from a fab overnight stay! It was perfect from start to finish including our meal last night at the Cultra Inn. A great choice available for breakfast this morning in the Mitre Restaurant too. The Spa facilities are lovely and we enjoyed a very relaxing morning before we left. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely break- cannot wait to come back!

I went to the spa today with my mum and granny I really enjoyed my treatment carried out by judith she was so pleasant and talked me through what she was going to do before carrying out an amazing hot stone massage

I booked a spring day package at the Spa as a treat for my mums birthday and we absolutely loved it! The staff were so lovely and welcoming, the facilities were great and the food was fab. They'd even made a note that this was for my Mum's birthday and surprised us with a cupcake! It was so lovely and she was delighted. Our treatments at the spa itself were fantastic, we came away so relaxed. Thanks again!

Had an overnight and must say this hotel is special . On arrival before we even reached the the front door concierge rushed to take our bags . The girls on the front desk were gives a warm and efficient welcome . We head d to the lounge before going to the room and had brunch . Again staff were attentive and talked us through the menu was was well presented and tasty . When we got to the room it was way beyond my expectations. It made me think and realise just st how very special the 5* Culloden is .

The Mitre Restautrant staff could not do enough for us and Breakfast was freshly cooked and well presented. The whole experience was top glass and I can not wait to return . 5* deluxe the Culloden most certainly is and I think we who know it well simply don appreciate it

Beautiful location and outstanding service. Sian in reception is a lovely girl with a very warm nature. She made me very welcome straight away. The spa treatment from Charlotte was out of this world. I can't recommend it enough, massage and facial. Wonderful experience, fab place and management should be very proud of their staff
