I love this... We do talk a lot about overstimulating babies, but underplay the role of connection. In Daisy baby classes, we believe we strike the right balance between connection with Mum & other babies as well as age-appropriate visual / auditory / kinaesthetic stimulation...

An old one, but a good one. You just never know what is happening in someone's life πŸ’—

I love this quote & how applicable it is to labour... The waves of labour will keep coming, do you know how to surf?
Daisy Birthing can teach you tools and techniques to learn to surf those waves, helping you to stay in control...

7th June is Rainbow Baby Day; celebrating babies born after a loss, whether in pregnancy, at birth, baby or childhood.
Baby loss is still something we don't talk about much, and it's so important to break these taboos.
I'd love to see pictures of your rainbow babies. Although my little one is now 6, he's still my "rainbow baby", born after an ectopic pregnancy and then a miscarriage. Sadly we lost another little one after him too.
... In the midst of it all, it was hard to dare believe that I would ever be a Mum, and here I am 6.5 years later. Believe in miracles and don't stop hoping 🌈

🌈 Here is the aftermath of our Daisy Cruisers Rainbow themed class to raise a few pennies for Kicks Count.
7th June is Rainbow Baby Day; celebrating babies born after loss. I have the joy of having a rainbow baby, so I'm delighted to have supported this important fundraiser 🌈

Ever wondered why you might feel a bit below par?! When carrying a baby you are working at nearly the limit of human endurance!! 😳πŸ’ͺ🏻
"The research, by Duke University, also showed pregnant women were endurance specialists, living at nearly the limit of what the human body can cope with."

Well, that was just lovely... Postnatal movement, mindfulness & relaxation πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Tonight (after a giggle to start us off) we focussed on accepting the power of our emotions & inviting all the parts of our inner selves to come together to make one powerful, balanced Mama πŸ™…πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ🏻 #daisyjess #daisyfoundation #daisyfoundationuk #daisymama #continuityofcare #postnatal #postnatalrelaxation #selfcare #mindfulness #innergooddess #acceptance

Crazy hair bliss after the most wonderful Indian Head massage. Thank you Lisa at Time to Rellax I tell Mums every week how good Massage is for their babies, so it is only right that I indulge myself every once in a while for that same oxytocin rush πŸ’— #daisyjess #daisyfoundation #daisyfoundationuk #massage #selfcare #metime #positivetouch #oxytocin #benefitsofmassage #indianheadmassage

I love a happy ending 🌈 As someone who understands the heartbreak of recurrent baby loss, I am so grateful to have my miracle baby, and absolutely delighted that this service exists here in the Northern Trust. Massive congratulations Cathy & William πŸ’—

This is why you can't "spoil" a baby or cuddle them too much. Those little people need us. What we need to do is shift the expectations around what is normal, and instead offer support to Mums who are sleep deprived, overwhelmed & struggling πŸ’—
