Combining the artistry of Florence + the Machine, the thought-provoking lyric writing of Stevie Nicks, and the wonder and curiosity of Bjork, Rebekah Fitch is a new artist that will spark intrigue.
Rebekah’s musical studies have enhanced her thirst for sonic experimenting, bringing a new dimension to the distinctive melodies she creates. Her music is influenced by an eclectic mix of artists, ranging from the likes of Lana Del Rey and Lorde, to an interest in the experimental... and electronic music of Bjork and Portishead. Intricately woven lyrics invite you to explore layers of meaning to uncover the full extent of what she has to say.
She has already gained commercial success with playlisting on Cool FM, U105 and Dublin’s FM104 (as their Select Irish Artist), as well as performing live sessions on BBC Radio Ulster, Metro Radio, SPIN1038 and more. Her dynamic multi-instrumental live shows, complete with mesmerizing live-looping and powerful vocals, have really started to get people talking, having played at festivals such as Stendhal, Evo Emerging and Moira Calling, and supported bands including Hermitage Green. After releasing her debut EP, Broken Mind, (which was praised by Clash Magazine, Nialler9, The Thin Air, The Last Mixed Tape and more), and embarking on her first UK and Irish tour, Rebekah’s future looks to build on strong beginnings.

LARKS is the exciting new project from Fiona O’Kane. Fiona cut her teeth in the local music scene fronting the critically acclaimed 'Runaway Go'. LARKS was born from a necessity to progress and to push the boundaries of O’Kane’s musical horizons.
LARKS sees Fiona take a fresh approach to her strong songwriting ability. She draws influences from rhythmic electronic based beats, infused with Indie & Alternative sensibilities, all the while keeping her sincere, heart felt lyrics as strong as ever. LARKS is sure to join the ranks of Irelands best over the next few years. O’kane is strong, callable, progressive and talented.

David Browne Murray (aka DBM) is without doubt one of NI's most gifted guitarists. His distinctive fingerstyle guitar playing is nothing short of spectacular. Don't just take our word for it though, he has the accolades to prove it, including winning the prestigious 'Yamaha Six String Theory Competition' in the USA.
Supporting the likes of Tommy Emmanuel in Belfast last year, DBM has played a string of high profile gigs and has firmly made his name in the guitar scene.
Expect... serious talent with no frills. No vocals, no background tracks, just a display of string brilliance with anything from his own original material to a theme tune or trance classic. Not one to miss!

Absolutely fab night out great live entertainment music, was there Saturday night and it was amazing great atmosphere would deffo recommend

User

Went here Saturday with a hen party of over 20. Had a fab nite despite one of the female bar staff being what i would describe as pathetic and slightly immature, asking what can i get you to drink and when you ordered she stood and listened to the order before saying move around to the other side and youll get served and then having to queue again. Quite pathetic why not just say to move around in the first place. but she didnt get no tips from us whereas the other lad doing the bar did. Spirit of Christmas and all that. Great music and we had a good night anyway

We love taking our two dogs Misty and Ozzy to the Dirty Onion, we visit as a family regularly. Ozz is an adopted boy from Almost Home animal rescue, we have him since April past, he is an adorable loveable big labradoodle/otterhound cross, unfortunately though he has issues with some other dogs, we are working hard to address these issues by socializing him as much as we can, we are always cautious and have him on a tight leash at all times when in public. Anyway we were excited to be be bringing him today as we feel he has come quite a long way since we first met him yet still has a bit to go, so off we went, upon arrival he was a little anxious but with plenty of encouragement and taking things slowly we proceeded inside, it was very busy, most dogs were excitable, anxious, playful, barking, jumping etc etc.. some were being pushed in baby like prams or being cradled like babies in their owners arms, each to their own is my motto, but when Ozzy made a lunge and big bark and a woman's little princess we apologised, we chastised him and had him on a short leash, however her response made me so mad i had to write this. 'He shouldnt be here' she snarled down her snooty nose to us all, so we left immediately. We met some lovely people there too who admired our two, they asked us about Ozzy and gave us some great tips and advice and places to help with our boy, nice understanding socialable people which i would have thought this event was all about.I might add that her own little dog has issues of its own barking and yelping loudly , but i wouldn't have told her she had no right to be there. There is always one will spoil an otherwise lovely day and great idea. We'll be back Dirty Onion as we usually do on days were we wont bump into these sort of people that dont fully understand the concept of 'Doggy Social' or just social for that matter.
