About The Empower Project

The Empower project is a Big Lottery funded initiative through the Reaching Out Supporting Families Programme which support Families across Northern Ireland and beyond. The focus of the project is to support children under 12 with Autism, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, ADHD, Tourette's Syndrome, their parents and the wider family circle to enhance confidence and learn together to develop skills to support their children. It was set up by a local community group D. A. D. S. (Dyslexia, Autism & Dyspraxia Support) https://dyslexiaautismdyspraxiasupport.com to help support the parents and carers of children with learning difficulties and to educate all those who are working with children. This includes professionals as well as parents. The Empower Project hosts a range of webinars and training on various topics on autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourettes, ADHD and more. You can join the Empower Webinars even if your child does not have a diagnosis. If you have any concerns or worries about your child, we recommend you find out as much information as possible and put interventions and strategies in place now. Currently, there is a 3-4 year waiting list for an ASD diagnosis so we hope you will find the webinars that we offer suitable to you and your children's needs.
