The Extras Dept. (formerly Extras NI) is Ireland’s Extras Agency. We are the largest provider of extras for film, television, commercials & the promotional industries in the north of Ireland. Now we’re serving all of Ireland.
The Extras Dept. Description
We have been providing extras to the film and television industry since 2005. Our recent credits include providing (100’s of, in some case 1000’s of) extras, stand ins, featured extras and even main roles for HBO's "Game of Throne's", BBC2's "The Fall", BBC1's Line of Duty and feature films "Dracula Untold" Lost City of Z" and "Morgan" to name but a few.
It is FREE to register as an extra with us! Only when you receive your first job will we deduct a £25 admin fee from the total paid to you (and between 15-20% commission is taken on all jobs, commission dependent on what the overall fee is), so, if you don’t get any work then you don’t pay us a single penny!
Your membership year starts when your profile has been approved – only a week after signing up and uploading the documents required. Manage your own profile online, book a photoshoot with our professional photographer if you wish, and you could be working on a film set with the stars – and getting paid for it!

To mark the end of an era some of our lovely Game of Thrones extras have arranged an event. They would like to invite you and your friends/family to join us at the Ulster Hall on Saturday 28th July, to showcase the best (and worst!) talent the extras from Game of Thrones have to offer.
There'll be singers, dancers, musicians, magicians, comedians and more, along with a panel of judges from the AD team to help choose who wins the £1,000 prize money!

My daughter Caoimhe had a featured role today, from start to finish, she had a fabulous experience, all the staff were lovely, Her chaperone Glenda made her feel at home. We were very well looked after.

I had my first experience being an extra and I was lucky enough it was for the best show ever made, the extras Department staff made me feel welcome.. I would love to experience that game of thrones magic again thank you Extras Department
I had my first experience as an extra yesterday working on "special couple"....Had an awesome day from start to finish.....from the initial contact from the extras dept everything was so well organised.... i knew exactly what was expected and when i met the rest of the extras i couldn't have hoped for a more friendly helpful bunch of people..... really enjoyed my day..... thanks so much extras dept.... Loved it!! :)
